Using other peoples´ images on your site

I digged a bit into the topic of using other peoples´images thinking ´ I am promoting their products so surely there´s no harm in just using a picture from Google as I´m not claiming any rights etc´ and I know this sounds naive but then I just thought well I´m going to either have to buy a lot of stock or ask each persons/website´s permission to use an image and wait for a reply.I googled it for a quick and straight forward response and found this which was quite interesting.

Coming from the vendors perspective of A. your site may clash with their brand B. the photo may be out of date C.the image may not be up to scratch quality wise by their standards.

In a nutshell I know I need permission to use photos but I thought if I´m posting weekly I would have to buy a lot of products and may not have the money or space or even need at the moment but just think it´s a great product so I think I´m going to have to contact them directly or start bloggging with products I already have, or use stock photos or try my luck with an Affiliate program such as Amazon or Etsy.

Am I making sense or is the fact I need to eat my dinner and I´m not not indeed making sense and have disappeared down a rabbit hole of information overload? lol ;)

Thoughts, experiences and ideas wold be greatly appreciated! I´m off to the supermarket to get dinner and a bottle of Crianza! :)

Thanks Loes! I decided to just throw caution to the wind and apply to Amazon Associates on Amazon.co.uk and was accepted! I am so surprised as I´ve only posted once! But that saves me worrying about images and I have lots of products I have in mind for blogging about already so problem solved! Yippee! :)
