Mmmmmm,that's where I've tried already.I only realised when I went back in again.I've not been on WA consistently and can't remember where everything is. I changed the colour before this way but it didn't change on my site at all.I'll try the other tips below and see if something works.

Hey Leanne,
Here is Kyle's training on creating a logo: Creating Logos & Images for your website.
You can create an image using the colored text you want to have.
OR
Find the css code for your theme's Site Title, then go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS and paste the code there where you can then change/use the color you want to use.

Hurrah! I got it done in the end by getting rid of the background image (made my site look easier to read/less busy) and then I created a new logo on flamingtext.com which was mentioned in the video link above and now I've got a nice logo.Cheers again for your help! :)

I need to link my Pinterest account to my website but have no idea how to upload the HTML file to my website's root directory (still not sure what it does and means, gawd help

I not only got Pinterest linked to my account I got Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google +.

Yes this is how you get started with your traffic to your website and by doing this it can turn into sales.
if it is your pinterest validation code you can add this to your allinone seo general settings.
just copy the number - the long one - if you struggle to just select that number and all of the html becomes selected then paste it into a notepad document on your computer and then select the long number .
paste this into the all in one seo general settings for pinterest and save it - it should verify then.

This helped me too very easy to do I struggling with this for a few days, Pinterest kept sending me a email for me to claim my website, so now I know how I can show others as well if they need help with this.

Of course, naturalmente sir! I got my Pinterest site linked today so thanks again. It didn't look exactly the same as on the link you posted but I got there in the end and I've just seen an email confirming it's linked so watch this space! :) Merry Christmas! :)

How do I upload a html file to my website's root directory?

wordpress creates your website's entry point (basically your index.html) on the fly, so there is not really a way to edit that file. But I found this guide her via google which explains how you can connect your wordpress blog with pinterest. See if it helps and let me know, will you? :-)
