Model Others On Your Way to Success

Want to do something that you don't yet know exactly how to do?

Find someone else to model - and do what they do.

For example, lets say you want to write an eBook - but you have never written anything other than a blog post, if even that.

Go to amazon and look up some eBooks on topics similar to what you are contemplating writing about. Buy a few (they are cheap - between$ .99 and $2.99 each generally speaking - and you do NOT need the more expensive ones for this!).

Now get a good cup of coffee, tea or what ever the heck you like and settle in for some reading.

As you read each eBook study the whole thing.

What does the cover look like?

How is it laid out?

How many pages and how many words?

Go back and read the reviews again - and note what they say.

If they say "Great information, but I wish he would have covered..." what ever those things are - they are golden nuggets for you to make sure that YOU cover them in your eBook.

Next write daily.

You do not have to do crazy hours but you do have to put your butt in the seat and your hands on the keys and make letters become words. If you do that - then in a few days (less than a month!) you will complete your first eBook.

There are of course things you need to know and do - but there are inexpensive online courses, free blog posts, Facebook groups and other ways you can get all that too.

The point is by studying how its done by others who are already successfully doing it - then you can do it too!

Often you can do it faster and even better than the people you choose to model did because you have the benefits of learning from studying them.

This applies to ANYTHING by the way. It certainly applies to Online Businesses and Offline businesses of all kinds.

It applies to scuba diving, sky diving, martial arts, military training and all else.

Obviously by having some quality training AND modeling combined with experience you will do even better.

Also there are some things that are very important to get fundamental training FIRST before you just model someone without that.

For example - take paragliding (like a big parachute/glider that is foot launched).

It is possible to just watch a bunch of YouTube videos and go buy a wing and a harness (online even!) and then take it and launch yourself into the sky.

It is possible (and people have done this many times!)

However I do N O T recommend this approach with things that are dangerous or have significant risks of any type including financial. You should get some training first - then model others (including your instructor).

This is because there are things you need to know and be able to do that are hard to notice just from watching alone, and impossible to develop those skills without practice.

Like what happens in an emergency? How to throw your emergency reserve... and to make sure you even have one.

Take trucking as an independent owner operator for another example. Simply failing to put yourself in a drug testing program BEFORE beginning operations can result in THOUSANDS of dollars in fines - and even loss of your authority (license to operate.)

Now writing an eBook does not have such risks - nor does Affiliate Marketing, Print On Demand, POD Casting, Building a YouTube Channel etc. etc.

You are not going to die if you screw those things up - nor will it cost you a fortune. So go ahead and MODEL away!

One Very important Key Point

MODELING is cool and good - STEALING and Plagiarizing or otherwise violating copyrights is NOT COOL so do not do that!

You can not snip and copy and past other peoples art, graphics, exact words etc. and just publish it - if you do - that is theft and all kinds of other violations and you can be deplatformed, sued and otherwise held accountable.

There are rules that cover all this stuff (laws) that can be enforced by the owner of the rights to that property.

For example - generally speaking - the moment a work is created in tangible form (print, art, audio, video etc) it is AUTOMATICALLY protected as owned by its creator for the life of the creator PLUS 70 years. Unless they sell their rights (as authors often do) or give them away intentionally and freely (such as putting them out as open source etc.) they retain their rights and can come after anyone violating them.

Be sure to learn the basics - but in general like I said - simply do NOT copy other peoples stuff and you have nothing to worry about.

Model it but don't copy it - and make certain you know the difference.

What you can do is look at how things are built - then go build your own stuff using the frame work - but not their actual work. Understand the difference now?

When you do and if you use this concept effectively it can help you do much better much faster.
