Getting caught between Wealthy Affiliate and a Niche
Has anyone else experienced this?
I am currently working on two websites. One is my current niche so I can learn the steps and go through the training but the other one is my WA website. I want to work on both but feel that my WA site is going to be more profitable in the long run. At least that is my belief anyway.
I want to spend more time working on that and going through the boot camp training but then start to feel like my other site isn't getting the attention I need to give it as well.
Are the boot camp AND lessons for the niche the same training or are they completely separate? I haven't quite finished all the lessons in the certification but I am close. Now I am starting to move through the boot camp training and wondering if I am missing something or if I need to go slower and stop spinning my wheels.
What are your thoughts? Am I trying to do too much? Do I need to finish one training before getting caught up in the boot camp training? Who else is in this struggle with me? I need some of you folks who have been in the program longer to give us newbies some tips. Thank you in advance and really appreciate the entire WA community.

Hi,
I had the same situation, when I couldn't find a good Niche name. So I started bootcamp then later I found my name. These professionals here gave me the same guidance.
Continue with your Niche that belongs to you. After you finish with your Certification you can finish bootcamp.
I'm building my Niche again and the training is great.
I'm going to be totally honest with you. While you may make more from your WA site than your niche site, your posts on WA will be much more powerful because you will be speaking from experience. Only do one site at a time, do the niche site first, make it successful, then do the WA site for your best chance at profiting the most.
I was told to do one site at a time. Is is easier to get one up and running first .
Thank you Doug
Lynne: I would suggest working on only 1 website and completing the training as it comes. That works best for me.

I agree with the comments of other members. One website is plenty to manage at least until it is earning. Even then, that website will continue to require attention.
I an a newbie also, not at the two month mark yet, but I am doing the same thing you are doing! I have a main niche site and a WA site. But I am focusing on the certification and the niche site mostly.
The WA site is put together but I am not writing content for it yet. I also have not started the boot camp. I figure I can focus on that when I am done with the certification courses and my niche site is running well.
So I hear ya hon, some of us just like to bite off too much at one time. You've heard the adage, "how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time"? Well let's just say you and I have very big elephants to eat!! LOL

So true Angi, so true! Thank you for your input. It is nice to know I am not the only one trying to run before I learn to walk.
Am I trying to do too much? Yes!
Do I need to finish one training before getting caught up in the boot camp training? That would be best.
Creating a website is like starting a new business. Do people ever open two separate businesses at the same time? One is hard enough.
Just my opinion and one from someone who has been self-employed most of his life.
Great advice. I agree, I need to slow down a bit and focus on the cert training and finish that. Thank you.
They are separate niches. Focus on one. I recommend the Certification Courses until you are comfortable with the process. Then tackle promoting WA.
I agree. Focus on one but it is possible to have a niche website that also works with the WA program.

Thank you, I need to finish one training first. I have started the boot camp but maybe need to put it on hold until I finish the certification courses first.
That's what I did. The Bootcamp is different but there are similarities. I will just say that I am learning a lot more now in the Bootcamp.
Finish the Certification and then go to Bootcamp is my recommendation.

I have the same problem...but then I decided to carry on with my Niche, then tackle WA itself.
