Vexille, the Cottontail rabit, the Gold Coins, and a Spam Attack

When Vexille was a kid, he loved to jump on his bicycle and ride down to the deep gully that was about a half a mile from his home. He would always take his bow and arrows and look for little critters to shoot. One day Vexille leaped down into the gully and started hunting. All of a sudden, he spotted this little black and white cottontail rabbit. He grabbed his bow and pulled an arrow from his quiver. Then he sighted the arrow on the little rabbit. That's when the strangest thing happened. The little cottontail started thumping his foot, started smiling and repeated Vexille's name over and over. Vexille couldn't believe what he was seeing and hearing. This crazy little cottontail was magical.

The Beginning of the Spam Attack.

Vexille bent down and picked up the little critter and started stroking his big floppy ears. That's when the little rabbit jumped from Vexilles arms and started thumping the ground again next to a big black bolder. Dust started flying everywhere and a small crack in the ground started to appear next to the bolder. Vexille spotted something shiny deep down in the crack. So he got down on his knees and started digging. Wow, a shinny copper coin appeared. Vexille couldn't wait, he started digging faster and faster. More coins appeared. Then more coins and more coins. Before he knew it, Vexille had too many coins to hold in his hands. So he started piling them up near the bolder.

Something For Nothing

What were these coins and how was Vexille going to get them home. Maybe he could wrap them up in his tee shirt and carry them home on his bicycle. Thing is, he had his bow and arrows to carry too. So he laid his bow and arrow down on the ground next to the little cottontail for safe keeping. He trusted the little rabbit. The other thing is, he was getting more coins than he could carry in his tee shirt. He must have had a couple hundred coins. He would be rich if he could find someone to sell the coins to. This was just too good to be true.

The little cotton tail just kept thumping, smiling and calling out Vexille, Vexille. Then he stopped. Vexille didn't pay any attention to the rabbit. He just kept on digging up more coins. What Vexille didn't see was that the little rabbit had gone over to get the bow and arrow. He laid an arrow on the bow with the notch hooked in the bow string. He put his big flat feet on the bow, bit down on the arrow and bow string and started pulling the arrow back. Then he aimed the arrow at Vexille and let go of the arrow. It hit Vexille straight through the heart. Vexille was history. The little cottontail just smiled.

Then the cottontail did another seemingly strange thing. He started pushing all of the coins back into the hole Vexille and dug. When he had all of the coins in the hole, he started covering up the hole until there was no sign of the hole or the coins. All that was left was Vexille's body with an arrow through his heart. The little cottontail just smiled and thumped the dirt on top of the hole. Then he called out Vexille, Vexille one more time and hopped off into the sunset.

Too Good To Be True

The moral to this little story is that if you have devious intensions like Vexille and think you can strike it rich by doing nothing but digging up coins, be careful. The tables may get turned on you and make you a victim instead of a millionaire. If it looks too good to be true, watch out it just might not be as good as you think it is.

This is how SPAM operates. It sucks you into believing things are just fantastic and before you know it, you become a victim. Website development takes a lot of blood sweat and tears. Be ready to put out the necessary work.

Hi Larry,
That was a solid story and stories are always a great way to teach a lesson. Thanks for the heads up....Dick

Thanks Dick. I used to write little stories all the time. Maybe I should get back into it. Thanks again.

You know, stories are powerful. You shouldn't even think about it. Just do it. Everybody loves a story. When I was in sales-insurance-I would tell stories all the time. Because you reminded me, I'll start again. Thanks....Dick

Like you said yourself. Just Do It, Dick. Thanks for the comments. They really do mean a lot to me.

That's a big 10/4

Thanks Denise.

Great:) Larry! Does me think of the fancy clothes you can order from a magazine by mail, they look so fantastic, but when you open the package it turns out to be rubbish. Desperately you grab the magazine to see if it really is the same you've ordered. And it is clearly a photoshopped picture of the item you hold in your hands.
Think twice before you act on an offer which seems to good to be true:)
Have a nice weekend Larry:)

Hi Loes, glad you enjoyed the little story I concocted last night. Your right, I've bought stuff over the internet that looked nothing like what I thought I was buying. You have a great weekend too.

Thanks Larry:)
