How do you automatically send email to your list with each new post?

As Jeff said, Mailchimp does not support affiliate links. Except things have changed.
Other options you may try are Aweber, Convertkit, etc.
I have not used but you may check their docs or support going forward.

Does anyone know of an autoresponder "free version" that allows us to broadcast our blog posts to our subscribers?
You may use Aweber whch is free for the first 500 subscibers
You can use RSS Feeds in your newsletters with AWeber
Tutorial How to add an AWeber email signup form to your Wordpress website
Hi Abie
I've used Aweber in the past, and it is a very good autoresponder...
RSS can be used alongside any Autoresponder and unfortunately doesn't capture email addresses... so (as you know) visitors would still need to fill out a form at sometime if they are to become subscribers.
Also, Aweber doesn't currently have an inbuilt method for triggering sending an email when a post is published.
:-)
Richard
Mailpoet has the largest limit for a free auto responder and their approach is better than using an RSS feed.
:-)
Richard
Yes. MailPoet is affiliate marketing friendly.
They would be 2 faced if not because they run their own affiliate program... which I am aware of but haven't joined!
:-)
Richard
Actually yes to Mailchimp. I had read a review from earlier this year that indicated RSS was available in free version. It's not anymore. We did use MailerLite previously, but there is some other limitation that precluded us from that option. Thank you for your response.
Hi David
I've just started using MailPoet... it's one of very few that allows you to automatically notify subscribers of new posts. You can either send an excerpt or a number of excerpts or a full post. It's free to send to up to 1000 subscribers per month (if memory serves right, up to 12000 emails per month. It's a plugin that seems to work well and the emails are sent by MailPoet's own service.
:-)
Richard
Thank you, Richard. That is one I had not heard of. A plug in. Very interesting. So it connects your autoresponder to your wordpress blog?
What that means is that the setup is all available within the WP Dashboard (very convenient). Also, what interested me especially is that unlike most auto responders, it provides for automatically triggering emails to subscribers when a new post is published without having to use a third party to handle that.
:-)
Richard
Most autoresponder services have a free option. Have a look at AWEBER Up to 500 email subscribers, GetResponse is the same, and Sendinblue daily sending limit of 300 emails no subscriber limit. All three of these are free.
There are plenty of other options, depending on your subscribers. I use all three of these services and my preference is Sendinblue just for some of the more detailed reports and segmentation that you can do.
Thank you James. I am familiar with many of the autoresponders having used 3 over the past 6 years. But we always used the ones with "bells and whistles" so the RSS was included. I wanted to know of a FREE option that still supported RSS.

I thought of using feedburner. Maybe I will. It feels a bit silly when my free autoresponder, MailerLite, was handling https without problem!
I agree, I think it's a bit silly. It seems really short-sited of them to not support RSS over SSL by now.
I'm curious, and if you don't mind me asking, if you liked MailerLite, why did you switch? Did you outgrow it?
Two of the funnel apps I use frequently have integrations with AWeber, but not MailerLite. On the other hand, ThriveLeads has integration with both. I just wanted the option to use Funnelizer when I choose.
AWeber responded: "That is correct, traditionally we have not been able to validate a feed with https (SSL certification) as the nature of the certification protects us from being able to access this content. However, within the next few months an update on our end will be rolled out so that we can accommodate https feeds. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime."
Wow, that's hard to believe in today's world. They need to get on the bandwagon.
I hesitate to offer any low-level suggestions, not to mention you'd likely hit a dead end. I doubt support would be able to help in this case but you could try.
Another approach that might work is if you used a feed service like feedburner or similar service and then feed aweber from there.
Are you sure that they are telling you they can't support SSL?
Aweber (and many others) do not support SECURE RSS meaning RSS that requires authentication (username and password), but they should be able to support SSL (aka HTTPS) just fine.

I personally prefer to separate the different niches. That's what I do. I know there are some people that have just one account for their sites.
I guess it's down to personal preference at the end of the day...and also what you think your niche audience would want to see on their timeline.
Hope that helps
Steph!
In my opinion this would be best, the separation.
Usually, a reader who is looking for one of the three, has searched, and is looking for info and a positive experience regarding the one thing.
Or may have crossed over from another media, in search of more write-ups about it.
It would be the best to keep him/her in the flow, and would probably help prevent indecision.
Maybe a few additional tips can be given here.......(?)
Hope it helps you out,
Cheers
Therese
