Hateful Mean People!
Just curious to see if anyone here has run into any people leave comments on their site, facebook page, twitter feeds or any other media that are hurtful, mean or down right just rude? I have had one this evening that was just down right hurtful. It wasn't anyone from here if that is what you are wondering, but came from an outside source. We are all just trying to eek along and make something out of whatever situations we may be in. To have someone come along and basicly make you question how we are proceeding makes it difficult and makes you question your ability to pursue marketing. This person was an internet troll i'm sure but I didn't let that stop me and have since ignored them but still to think that there are people out there like that makes me sick!

That's the right approach Lance. In any universe there are abnormal exceptions that have to be avoided or quarantined!
I deal with hundreds of people everyday in my line of work.I work in retail.I have found a way of dealing with all kinds of people.Simple:I let a person know if they are being rude or disrespectful to me.Usually a lot of people will apologize with the reason being"I'm having a bad day"But others are just ignorant and I ignore the ignorant.They don't exist.I don't waste time with their negative energy.Sometimes you have to teach people how to treat you.
Unfortunately these days some people have lost that abaility to be respectful. What's the old saying "If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all" LOL
Unnecessary rudeness is unacceptable in my book, but some people just aren't worth worrying about. Happy holidays to you too Lance!

I've gotten some insults from complete strangers on Facebook, I just block them. I now have my FB profile visibility set to "friends only".
yup - moving forward beyond negativity is the way to go. Happy and safe holidays to you too.
A little advise from someone who's dealt with all kinds Lance,don't let anybody rent any space in your head,just consider the source and move on.
Hi Lance, there were a few posts about this very topic recently. The question was whether to remove the bad comments or leave them there with appropriate responses.
My opinion is that you should leave them there as it gives your site more credibility. And if you respond in an appropriate, professional manner, I think your integrity will shine through.
I agree, but sometimes its not what you want to hear especially after working so hard. I guess sometimes people have to much time on their hands HAHA!
Yes, such comments can really send you reeling. In fact, they can be quite soul-destroying sometimes. Cyber-bullying is what it boils down to!

Hey, screw them they are insecure bullies with no life so they want to hurt and bash others behind a monitor. Let them come out in the open they won't because they are cowards. Never let them get to you or occupy any space in your head, they are not worth it, Lance. Have a great weekend!!!1
Exactly! That is why I try to just let it go, but since we all here at one time or another have dealt with them I figure of all the group I know this one gets it. Have a great weekend as well.
