Marketing is as SIMPLE as Your Next Haircut!
It was an ad by Google, whom of course would never do any evil.
It was actually one of the most powerful ads I have seen in awhile and one that I think I needed to share with everyone here because in two simple sentences, it described what Internet marketing (and marketing) in general is all about.
WOW...that was simple. (think about this for a second)
That is exactly what all of the successful Internet Marketers have been doing all of these years. This is the core of marketing online or offline. This is how affiliate marketing works. This is how you can earn a significant living online.
"You know who needs a haircut? People searching for a haircut."
This extends much further and into every niche online, including yours (even if you don't have a niche yet). You know who needs a to fix their slow computer? People searching how to fix their computer.
You know who needs help with their online business? People searching for help with their online business.
You know who needs organic dog food? People searching for organic dog food.
There is actually a phrase formula that you can use with your niche to find what people are looking for.
You know who needs a CONCEPT_GOES_HERE? People searching for KEYWORD_GOES_HERE.
Your ONLINE journey has just been simplified, no need to read between the lines, they are right there in front of you!

As simple as that is it took me awhile to come to understand that. I was always looking for some trick to build interest but it was you I think Kyle that told me one day that I was not trying to build interest I was trying to connect with people that were already interested. That conversation changed everything for me. Great post that i think will make the light bulb go off for a few people!
Exactly Ty, we know where people are in the customer purchasing lifecycle by the term they type into Google. If someone is looking for something that is very broad "computer viruses" it make take more work on your page to push them towards a product. If someone is looking for a particular product or looking to remove a certain type of virus, all you have to do is use the momentum they already have behind them to earn affiliate commissions.
Very good Kyle, also points out the fact we can get ideas for improving our Marketing efforts from many sources - in your case reading an article at the gym. We need to always be on the lookout for these and make a note of them at the time -- just in case we forget,
Regards
Hudson
Absolutely, this is something that very few actually "get" and those that do are typically highly successful. :)
The sources for your Internet campaigns can come from anywhere and from the strangest places like overhearing a strangers discussion about a new product or a new problem they have. Ideas are everywhere, you just have to have your ears and eyes open at all times.

Very basic concept, yet seems so difficult to understand as most are looking for what is in between the lines and not what is so glaring. Thank you Kyle for pointing it out again.
Yeah, we need to stop looking in between these lines. There are no secrets there!
