Glad to see the top menu come back for free accounts. It may frustrate some to see so much they don't get unless they upgrade but I feel it motivates the serious to get off the fence. Most of the chirps I hear on the negative are the same ones saying I thought we got everything as a free member.

Hi Kyle:

Thank you for these updates. You were thorough with the information on the new hub's entrance, but I know I missed some of it.

I love the idea of the affiliate program being integrated within the hubs to make it more relevant and easier to make selections. Will the original placement for the affiliate program be there for the websites we have that are not within the hubs?

Again, thank you all for everything you do to make things more beneficial for us in the Wealthy Affiliate community.

Hi Kyle,

Thank you for today's beer: wow! 10:30—that is a bit early!! I hope you could get through the day with a clear head!

Interesting discussion. Yes, embracing constant change is difficult for many people, and that's one of the great things about online business for me. I cannot get fixed and am complacent! I have to keep awake and organic—just like water flowing - flowing where it will and is needed!

I'm so glad about the new affiliate market module in Hubs! This has proven to be one of the more difficult things to sustain for me: applying to join programs, fielding emails on four different websites, and just searching for the right products. Then there are the networks with their idiosyncratic systems, each with a different culture and process!

I also am grappling with testing those products before I recommend them from my heart! All this takes so much time, as you say! I've been searching for hours and hours, almost in the dark.

So, I'd really benefit from some help. I can write five articles a day without a problem and love doing it, but then buckling down to search for products is something I shy away from—it's a definite rabbit hole!

The new onboarding hubs are a sound idea, I think. Yes, it happened to me when I first joined. I rushed into creating several niches and hadn't thought them through as far as I should have, so I had to start again from scratch. Coming up with a passionate and profitable niche is quite a challenge for people new to business like me. So, the more they are encouraged right at the start, the better.

Great things ahead!

Thank you to you, Carson, and the team for putting so much thought and energy into making things ideal for us. It's wonderful to be here!

Blessings
Linden 🌺

Hi Linden,

I couldn't agree more with the affiliate programs, I'm exhausted working with CJ it certainly wasn't what I thought it would be so I'm looking forward to this also.

I'm not one to give up as I love a challenge so I'm getting into it again this week to see if I can get a tutorial to navigate and apply to companies as an affiliate (another hurdle that I've read about here from others doing it)

I agree that the guys come up with great updates and trust I can move through & make this work.

Regards

Hi Amanda,
Good to hear! The AM search is a minefield actually.Because my sites are so new I’ve had lots of declines from independent programmes! And the big networks are difficult to navigate quickly! not enough time!!

Yep, Kyle and Carson really care so it’s win-win all round.

Btw, where are you now! ⛵️

Blessings! Stay safe! 🙏🏼🌻

Thanks Linden!

I'm back in sunny Perth for a while sampling some gorgeous weather, I'm having a break from the tropics :)

Great to know you’re safely back! But I guess you’ll be off again b4 long! 😙👍

Haha, yeah...definitely a bit early, but sometimes if I have a busy afternoon, I have to make sacrifices (and I only had a few sips so I was fine lol)>

RE: Reviews

Well ideally for the key products that you are promoting that would be the case, but you certainly don't need to own every product/service on your website.

Is it ideal? Yes, because the more thorough you are with your information the easier it will be to convert. If people don't feel as though they have been fully informed about a product before buying, they will likely go on to do research elsewhere...thus losing you the sale.

The products that you are recommending on your website, it is ideal that you offer a full review for them and this will also lead to the opportunity to rank under the "product keywords", which can drive a significant amount of traffic and sales.

So don't panic. Owning the product doesn't mean you are going to provide a better review, as often times it can become more objective in those cases, but if you view yourself as the expert in the industry, reviewing and assessing the aspects of your review and being able to fully inform your audience, then you are going to be able to provide a great review.

The beauty of the new affiliate program platform, is it is going to open your eyes to many new opportunities. )

Super!! Thanks Kyle! This is really reassuring. I'm really keen to keep the trust I'm beginning to build with my audience so don't want to scare them off with dubious recommendations.

Can't wait for the affiliate platform!! 🌸

That's great to hear Kyle as after my conversation here with Linden I admit to feeling a little defeated given she's done so much more work than I have facing a similar problem with affiliate links.

I'll keep reading and learning and finding my way in the dark :)

🌺????

Linden I'm a long way behind you and you're struggling with affiliate programs accepting your links to your website so I posted this to Kyle to get some clarity - is there something more I can do, am I wasting my time?

My next action is to post on Pinterest & get some ads up on Bing as they seem like a low cost option. I'm about to be cancelled out of the CJ Affiliate network because I can't get it to work, I see that others have spent many hours doing this so I'm putting links in my posts and a disclaimer at the bottom for future view of understanding how this works.

I trust that makes sens Linden, I spend less time and have much smaller content than you so that's how I was feeling after reading a few comments.

Hi Amanda,

It's great to know where you're up to! I just managed to connect with CJ, so I am planning a whole week of product searching and linking next week. But I agree—it's so complicated!!

I'm not sure what you mean when you say, 'I'm putting links in my posts and a disclaimer at the bottom for future understanding of how this works.' Do you mean that CJ will cancel your links because you've not sold anything?

Yes, this is concerning for us with such young websites, so I'm just relaxing about products at the moment until my traffic increases! Slowly, I will learn more, and Kyle and Carson will get their modules up on hubs very soon!! Then, all will become clear.

But don't worry. You're not alone!!

Still in Perth?

Thanks Linden yes that is what I mean, I've had an email from CJ to say that I have a time limit to and if my membership goes unused it will be cancelled. I've attached a screenshot of the email I received, given I haven't worked out how to set it up yet it seems like it will be cancelled.

I'm guessing I'll start again if that happens, I hear Amazon is a nightmare so I don't think it will be there.

Yep I feel like Kyle and Carson will address this, I don't feel confident to refer to others when I can't make a success of this myself - that's the worst part (:

Yep still in Perth for a while, visited lovely York in my campervan and plan to go north to Exmounth to help a friend out in August - loving the life!

Sounds great! The trip I mean!

Don’t worry about CJ. It’s their loss! I’m sure you’ll be able to set up again! And hopefully more easily next time!

There’s a time for everything! 🌺🙏🏼🍷

So have you tested anything from the Sticky Wicket or Spinakkers lately?
It's been a few years since I've been on the Island. I'm in Ottawa right now.
That is so true about change. People need to grasp it rather than run away from it.
It can be scary for some people.
Also as always. Great and informative video Kyle.

Sticky Wicket, I didn't know they brewed their own beer. But Spinakkers, most definitely...don't love their beer though. I don't find them to be one of the better crafts, though I think they are the 2nd oldest microbrewery in Canada.

And yeah, hange is so important to get a handle of, and embrace! It is inevitable in any business, but sometimes the idea that a process that once worked, is not a bit different or completely changed is hard to adjust for many folks. We get stuck in our old ways, and that can be a recipe for failure in business.

Great video as always Kyle, and thank you for the heads up regarding the upcoming updates to WA! I agree on the point made that people sometimes rush through the initial videos and just choose any topic for their niche in order to see what comes next.
I did the same when I started, so I believe you are making a change for the better there.

No problem Jelena, happy to keep you updated here. I think that the shift for Hub builds being after the fact (and after training), is going to lead to people choosing niches that they are much more passionate about instead of just racing through the process. Time will tell, but logic says this will be a good update in that respect.
