Organic Traffic Update 2.0

Guys, like I promised I'm going to share with you how my traffic looks after constantly working on my website for a month more.

If you haven't read my previous post, you can read it here:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kumar1992/blog/how...

So here's the quick update:

Traffic(in terms of page views)

Traffic(in terms of No. of Users)

In my previous post I forget to include the number of users on the particular day, thus I have included here. As you can see on 29 Jan, I was having only 72 organic users. But on 23 Jan I had 156 organic users. It's slightly double the number of visitors.

Yes, you would notice that on some days the traffic is higher than the others. That's really common. But what I want you to take note here is that the graph has been increasing over the period of time. End of November the line was close to the bottom that you can't even tell the difference. But now, it's starting to pick up.

All these didn't happen overnight. There is really no secret to increasing your traffic, sales and eventually revenue. Just keep working on your website regularly and you will definitely see the results.

Oh yah, if you are wondering what's the peak in traffic on that week. It's because I was using stumbleupon. Honestly, I don't think its good because it affects your bounce rate and most of this people are not really interested. I suggest you don't use it.!

Building an online business is not something that can be achieved in weeks or even a month or two. This period is the foundation phase, where you will learn new things and start to structure out your website. So don't keep your expectations too high yet.

In order not to get disappointed, keep your expectations at least a medium level and start focusing on writing and publishing content. I'm sure there are lots of training here on how to structure a publishing schedule. As for me, I work fulltime on this, so I will post at least once per day. But don't be disheartened if you have lots of commitment like your full time job or taking care of your kids. The key here is to publish consistently. Even if it's just twice or trice a week. It's way much better than publishing once or twice per month.

Just because you have been with WA for several months doesn't mean you will automatically make money. It's all about working hard. If you are not going to be doing anything, you will not make a dime even if you remain a member for years.

Take online business as just any other job, - in your 9-5 job, you only get paid for doing work. If you don't do anything, you boss has no reason to pay you. Same here, you work and get paid. But the only difference now is, you will have to work without salary for the first few months. Don't worry, you will get back in multiples in the coming months and years.

If you look at every successful businessman, you will always see a history(struggle) behind it. All of these people started with nothing. But if they are able to achieve what they have achieved thus far, is because of determination and the hunger to succeed. I and you are no different. If they can do it, so can us.

Over the next months, I will be branching out to a new niche. It's more "food" related. I will definitely share with you more stories about how things go in the comings months Do keep a look out for it!

That's all for me for now. Enjoy the rest of the day!

Kumar

Hello Kmar:
Your post is very honest and realistic. It cheers me up and keeps my interest in WA. I know any business, on or off-line, requires work, a lot of work especially at the beginning, but the expected goals are our motivation. I hope to stay in touch with you.
Best regards from Mexico.

Have you made any actual sales yet, from your traffic? I'm at that point where I only get about 12-16 organic users a day (It fluctuates a lot, all the way down to 5, but that's rare), and I've been told I just need more traffic to get sales, as my content is already quite solid.

Additionally, have you received any organic comments yet?

Thanks in advance :)

hey, yes I have made sales and I do have organic comments coming in from time to time. Your organic user per day is still fairly low. You really need to work on publishing more content on a frequent basis if you want to see quicker results. Your traffic depends on your ranking. To get good traffic from a keyword, you need to get ranked on first page of google. Page two isn't good enough if you ask me. Currently I'm averaging 700-800 visitors per day, and 90% are organic. So keep working on it.

Hope it helps :)

I write content twice a day mon-friday, once on saturday, rest on sunday. Only been working on my site for about 4 months now (With one month of non-productivity early on), and only just started to really ramp up my writing to twice a day. :) Here's hoping it works out, eh?

Wow, you seem to be more hardcore then me? Haha. You probably might want to cut down a bit because you don't really want to tire yourself in the long run. You should also start focusing on keyword that has very little competition because it will help you rank faster on page 1 or 2 of Google instantly(after fetching).

It definitely going to take more time. There is no specific answer. I was on the brink of quitting myself but thankfully I pull myself together, found some motivation and started to make things happen.

One mistake I did was focus too much on checking my ranking for each keyword. I feel that this is useless. So if you are doing this stop it right now. Because it's not going to help you in any way. Just focus on publishing, content between 1000-1500 words, low competition and on a frequent basis.

This is the only formula you would ever need, just like Kyle says..

Sounds good, man! I target almost exclusively low competition keywords as doing anything else with a young site just seems completely pointless to me.

It's reassuring to hear that I'm on the right track, though - I definitely just need to give it more time and effort.

I'll more than likely take breaks every so often of 2-3 days just so I don't tire myself out, but so far I'm enjoying it! It's definitely a struggle, but I feel good about myself afterwards and I enjoy the writing itself. Feeling productive makes me happy! LOL!

Stay in touch, yeah? I'd love to follow in your footsteps in the coming months. And thanks a TON for the super fast and helpful response. Many people on here (Understandably) take a long time to reply or don't reply at all.

Yea, no problem man. Just don't lose hope!

Sure we can stay in touch :)

I work online fulltime, may be that's the reason I respond fast. haha.

Have a great day. I look forward to hearing your progress and success stories in the future ;)

hi kumar. very good post. it give some people hope that things can really happen. and you are right hard work pays off. i think what happens is some people come on here with high expectations within a short period of time and when it does not happen.....tata....they're off and frustrated.
hard work, persistence and focus on quality and quantity and PATIENCE and not thinking abut money all the times and you will make it.
people such as ralph lauren and opera winfrey became billionaires from nothing. persistence and patience pays off...

good blog.

Hard work and persistence pays...Always!!

Definitely magesh! What we do now is going to pay later. Don't let yourself down too early. Work hard, and I'm very sure you will achieve all your goals too. I look forward to hearing success from you.

Cheers,
Kumar

Some sound advice, Kumar! Indeed, every time you invest in content, you're adding to your site, keeping it current and hopefully generating information that is beneficial to many readers for months to come!

I guess adding content to a website can be seen as a way to exponentially increase it's value and over time this will results in revenue :)

That's true Christine. Had been on this for 11 months now. I definitely had my ups and down because I wanted to make quick money too. It took me some time to eventually realize that there is no easy way out, only through hard work. And yes, adding content regularly is what's going to result in revenue!
Thank you for taking time to read. I wish you all the best on your online journey!
