Another month at Wealthy Affiliate and a quick overview so far.

I just resubscribed to Wealthy Affiliate yesterday after taking a month's break. It sure feels good to be back.I just thought I'd write a blog post to remind myself not to get distracted and work even harder to make sure my online business becomes successful.
I reason I left Wealthy Affiliate was that had run out of funds, and college was about to begin. I've been a member for three months and here's how I spent them:
1st month - Joined Wealthy Affiliate's premium membership. Jumped right into the training and rushed my way through all the certification courses. I couldn't decide on one particular niche, and was a bit greedy at the time... so made two siterubix sites and another site on a domain I bought.
During this time I actively shared Wealthy Affiliate on social networks and gained a few credits from that.
2nd month - Needless to say I wasn't able to manage all three at once. It was just too much. I ended up failing in all three. None of those sites even got close to making me money. I was a little discouraged and was disappointed with myself for trying to "get money quick". I released that money on the internet just doesn't work that way. I didn't understand the concept of keywords correctly and ended up (accidentally) keyword stuffing my posts and pages.
3rd month - I decided to leave everything behind and begin a brand new bootcamp site from scratch, with full dedication. I told myself I would leave the three sites behind and only focus on this new bootcamp site. Things were looking pretty well,I bought a domain, I found a nice theme, made a satisfactory header image and added a couple of posts. Overall I was quite pleased with the site I made.
What happened next?
My site wasn't getting traffic. I didn't understand why. Luckily for me, lots of helpful people inside Wealthy Affiliate gave me excellent advice. I followed all their suggestions and incorporated them into my site.

That was when I ran out of funds. I could not longer afford the premium membership so I decided to save up enough money until I could afford another month.
Since my premium membership was expired I needed to find a way to keep my sites live i.e have them hosted. I offered to build websites for people at a particular price and used that money to purchase a yearly hosting plan at host gator.
The funny thing that happened afterwards...
I added my new bootcamp site to my host gator hosting account and continued to add posts and updates. Then the traffic came. The rankings for my posts suddenly improved and my site jumped from less than 100 unique visitors to over 400 in less than a month.
This is proof that the stuff taught here at Wealthy Affiliate is LEGIT! It really works!
Although since I was not a member at the time, I didn't know how many people signed up through my affiliate link nor how many commisions I got.
So I saved enough for a another month.
I gathered as much money as I could and was able to afford the premium membership for another month.
I hope that within this month I will be able to earn enough to support my membership funds further. If I don't make enough, I'll take another break and come back soon for another attempt.
I have total faith in Wealthy Affiliate and I'm not going to give up. :)
My suggestions to newbies:
- Don't give up. The training given here can't be found anywhere else on the internet. This place is really the greatest place to learn how to start your own online business. Keep adding content to your site, and if not soon, you will eventually, definitely see results.
- Help others and ask for help. Everyone here at Wealthy Affiliate is always ready to help. If you are unsure of anything, ask your question in the live chat or in discussions and your sure to get your answer soon. Once you know the solution to problem, regularly help others out. This will even help you learn more.
- Ask for feedback. The internet is filled with all kinds of people. And all kinds of people can be found within Wealthy Affiliate. Asking for feedback and gaining various opinions and suggestions can be extremely beneficial to your website.
- In the beginning, stick with one site. This is a mistake I made and so I would like to caution newbies. When starting out, stick to one website at a time. Once that website has been properly established, and when you feel comfortable with it, only then move onto the next (if you need to).
- Put the customer/visitor before the money. Before you focus on money, focus on the visitors experience, focus on the quality of your content, and focus on getting traffic. Once these three things are taken care of, earning revenue from your website is a piece of cake.
That's all I would like to say for now... Didn't expect it to be so long. If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to post them in the comments below. I wish all of you best of luck here at Wealthy Affiliate! :D
