How important is your health to you?

This is a serious question. We tend to take care of others before we think of taking care of ourselves. I don't mean just resting your eyes or taking a nap.

When was the last time you went to an eye doctor? This is very important because the eye Dr can catch something before it's to late or gone too far. (glaucoma etc)

When was the last time you went to the dentist? You do not want to mess around with a bad tooth. Care for your teeth is much more than brushing twice a day. You want to keep your natural teeth as long as you can. Dentures are not fun.

For women- when was the last time that you went to the gynecologist for great examination or pap smear? Don't put this off.

For male- when was the last time you went to the urologist for tests? Prostratr cancer is on the rise.

How about having a colonoscopy? No this is not a fun test, you do have to drink some crappy-tasting stuff. Your life is more important than one day of unpleasantness. My husband had no symptoms but had three lumps the size of an orange taken out. No cancer, but still scary. Too many young are dying from colon cancer, yet colon cancer is very treatable.

When was the last time you saw your family physician? Had routine bloodwork done? Bloodwork can find problems that you were not even aware of.

Please take these visits seriously.

Have a healthy day

Preaching to the converted, I had colon cancer 10 years ago and my stomach swelled up like a balloon. Actually flat lined in surgery but too stubborn to let go. They had my intestines as out testiness and squeezed all the muck out..This is Vietnam, very hands on. Was in for a check up on Friday 13th, Dr went AWOL, still had fun though..lol.

Kathie,

Health is just as important as Wealth; they are interrelated. Some people put their well-being on the back burner.

I find it advantageous to success. In fact I have been included in Adventist Health Studies since 2005. They take a look at your eating habits and exercise patterns.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I have changed my lifestyle accordingly and it makes a difference.

My health has improved over the years.
Most people my age are retired or are planning for it. I feel that have a few more miles to go.

I live in a 55+ HOA community of fabulous people doing fabulous things -travel, artists, writers, golfers, strength trainers, poker playing experts and more. Moving to my new home soon.

Looking for the fountain of youth,

Rachele
p.s. Health includes, not just what we eat. It's about what we think, what we watch and who we harmonize with.

It's the important things that shouldn't be ignored until the last minute, and that is our health that can never be replaced.

Hi Kathie. I had a colonoscopy - it makes your eyes water but was worth it.

I agree with everything you say.

Hi Kathie...such a great message and very important indeed. We cannot replace our health and without it we have nothing. So we should do everything possible to protect it and not take it for granted. Have a lovely day!
