A Turtles Pace Finds Success

Working through the 14-day program on setting up a website, and I've been on Day 7 this entire week! It's going slow, but I'm almost finished with Day 7. It's a slow pace much like a turtle, but I'm finding success along the journey.

I've realized there's optional services that make my website planning much easier, but I must be willing to join and pay the monthly or year fees. The question is, is it worth it?

Well, first I spent a couple days searching for the perfect image, spending hours looking and not liking the results of lower pixelated pictures. After joining one of the services and paying the fee, I found success in located the perfect image within minutes. If I would have just joined in the first place, I would have saved several hours of unnecessary time and energy.

Second, I spent a bit of time trying to get the right look; I wanted to forgo spending the extra money on a service the "pros" use, but wasting the time and energy searching for an alternative free option wastes valuable time when building a website. I upgraded to pro and moved on quickly.

These two scenarios are proof for me that sometimes having to spend a little extra money is worth the time and energy in the long run. This can be attributed to why I'm moving at a turtles pace in trying to save a couple bucks. I can sometimes be a perfectionist which also slows me down, but when the website is yours and you are the artist, don't you want perfection too?

I figure I have the time and moving at a turtles pace is okay with me, but there is a limit. If moving at a turtles pace is hindered by not taking the leap to pay for a service that'll make your life easier, is it worth it to forgo the service and keep searching? Or should you opt in for the service so you can move on?

The choice is always yours, but for me, I'm okay moving at a turtles pace as long as there's success in the end. If that gets hindered, I must make a decision, forgo some money for a great service or forgo some time and energy to continue searching.

I will continue on...

I can well relate to your current experience, Kim. I've always been a slow mover striving for perfection. Turtles pace is fine and does lead to success!

Best wishes :)

You're very welcome, Kim. Yes, I do keep busy with my websites and it would be good if I didn't procrastinate so much!

Even if you are moving slowly, as long as you keep moving, that's all that matters!
