Perseverance & application
I speak to a friend in China every night to enable her to practice English and at times, she tries (patiently) to teach me some Chinese.
Tonight she taught me the first line from a book of the teachings of Confucius. I thought I'd share it here because it seems particularly relevant to what we're doing here at Wealthy Affiliate:
学而时习之，不亦说乎?
Translated, it means, "Is it not pleasant to learn with a constant perseverance and application?"
We certainly need to keep trying (perservere) and apply what we've learned if we're ever going to see success.
Related to that, I watched some training earlier that I found quite encouraging. In it, Philip, the member that created it, showed that it takes at least 12 months to start seeing the traffic that we're hoping for, and that's only after perservering with our content creation.

Hi that's cool is that mandarin or Cantonese??? I learned the basics but can't hold down conversation lol speak soon take care.

The interesting thing about Cantonese is that their written language is the same as Mandarin (using traditional characters) but the spoken form is different.
The phrase I posted was simplified or modern Chinese.
I can't even claim to have learned the basics so you're ahead of me! :)
Hey mate Haha that's funny yeah my wife is Chinese spent few months over there lol was great loved it and simplified that's cool some words are similar just when I ask my wife explanations what's this say she's say it's not recognised in her language on a film she's say so enjoy your learning and speak soon take care.

We all need the perseverance to do what we do we can't give up on anything because that is about the time we will succeed. That is not even an option.
I also always say that we have to be persistence, determination, and most importantly passion. That is the key to success.

Perseverance is needed for creating content. I make sure I am creating regularly and am going to be patient for the traffic. Best of luck with your Chinese and thanks for the link.
