I was just reading where Facebook got into hot water for not having a business license in Florida. All of our websites can be viewed anywhere so what does that mean for us? A
I don't think FB is actually in trouble with Florida for not having a license friend. It might be that people are doing business on the FB platform for their unlicensed physical businesses and think they don't need a license because they are promoting them on FB.
I've tried to look this up and all I see is that people are complaining that they must get a license to do a physical business in Florida and promoting it on the FB platform. is not a way to operate without a license. As for a your affiliate websites, if you do make money, just don't forget to put them on your income tax. All the best!
Hi Kerry, I do not think my site requires a business licence as it is mainly a health niche site. Yes, I do sell merchandise through my site but I observe the rules of the companies I use.
Something to keep in mind though.
All the best,
Michael
Business license - facebook fined- do we need a license?

I believe as affiliates we will get a 1099 form at the end of the year and will have to report that income because the companies paying us will report the expense of paying us. Hope this helps.

Are companies not likely to approve you if they already see links for a different company on your site? Example: Would SHARE A SALE not likely approve you if they see you are
Hi Kerry, I have multiple affiliates on my site. Shannon makes a good point.
All the best,
Michael
You will need to read the terms and conditions of each program you want to work with. Some of them are very strict and require that only their links are used within a specific post, others are less stringent.
In the end, it comes down to knowing what each program's requirements are so you will need to do your homework on your end. I have yet to find a program that denied me simply because I had links from another program on my site though.
Good luck, Shannon
if this helps. I have a products page on my blog. On that I list all the products I have / use, they form a kind of funnel, because my niche is aimed at showing WordPress bloggers, how to save money by switching to a conversion focused WordPress theme, then automating as much of that process as possible, by learning through the WA University. All the products / Services I use are complimentry to each other and make a bloggers life wayy easier and more fun.
All of them have excellent commissions attached to it.
In my experience I use all the different programs as they have different companies. I have had the most success with amazon but not everyone does. Plus they have low commissions. I have yet to make a dime from share a sale or Awin but I am trying!

I am looking for verbiage for a privacy policy page for my WA sites.
I don't know the legal aspects and what would be needed to cover my obligations to tell the public.
