This is a tribute to another great who passed at 81, Bill Withers, (1938-2020), who sang, 'LEAN ON ME.'
It's in the news today and I thought of how poignant his music is and of apt it would be for sharing . . . just a few moments to help take our minds off of our present world situation . . .
Enjoyed his powerful vocals as a youngster .... all these musical greats who have shared their souls with us .... who are your favourite singers? . . . or songs that you love to hear? . . .
I am a music appreciation kinda person -- it's just that I, myself, am not really that musical but I really do enjoy many, many forms of music . . .

I to am a lover of music. Most styles but not all. I grew up in the 70s and my all time favorite rock band, now considered classic, is Boston. Still like it loud but only when I am in the car by myself.
No fortunately for my parents I do not play any instruments either.

and hey it's never too late to learn to play a new musical instrument .... i'm still learning ... i played the drums for a while -- had a Pearl kit ... loved the rhythm and the beat that comes with it .. . and then went on to the glockenspiel ... love the tones ...
... and of course, vocals are a constant for me ... always trying to practice as much as possible ... (kinda like singin' in the shower ... lol .... chuckles!) ....
