Core Principles of Verbal Judo
Good Day Wealthy Affiliate Friends,
This is my last post on Verbal Judo. I have learned a lot from the book and took away some good strategies for both verbal and written communication.
I will write about applying Verbal Judo to Written Communication in a later post. Maybe some of the ideas here could help us in our writing.
Three core principles I learned from this book:
- Stay calm, quiet, and relaxed
- Avoid anger at all costs; you end up on the wrong end just about every time
- Empathy is the center of Verbal Judo. You don't have to love/like/agree with the person but you can feel empathy for them when you talk to them.
I hope you enjoyed the reviews. I learned a lot by writing them for sure.

Communication is vital in our business.
The ability to mentally jump into someone's skin, to see things from their perspective, improves the ability to communicate dramatically!

This is something that all foreigners who come to Vietnam should embrace. As well as WA members…
Stay calm and don’t get angry. Have seen so many poet angry over .20 cents or a small amount, it’s not funny anymore.
If you get angry, you have lost face..so don’t do it.
We should always think about others. Never judge someone until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.
