Home safe and sound
I wanted to thank everyone who commented on my last post. It was scary to let my granddaughter go to her auntie's house with her mommy whom she barely knows. But, as expected, her "mommy" showed very little interest in her daughter and was more interested in smoking and hanging on her girlfriend.
I am so glad to have her back home with us again. She said she was very happy to be home and missed us a lot! We missed her terribly.
There are so many things that could have gone wrong, but I think her auntie (our older daughter) took care of things and our granddaughter was thrilled to see us.
Don't get me wrong, we love our youngest daughter...we just don't like the choices she has made for her lifeβthe drugs, the running away from responsibility...that's what I'm talking about.
Again, thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and suggestions.
I sure will be glad to get back to work on my sites tomorrow and back to encouraging you and me along the way!
Best wishes,
Karin π

Kind regards,

Thank you, Nichola! We are glad that she is back and safe with us. It seems that she did pick up some bad habits from her new "sister", though! A lot more whining and demanding things...
Hmmmm... Well, we'll stand firm.
Best wishes,

Hi Karin,
You are welcome. You just have to wean her off her bad habits and get her back on the right track. Best of luck with her.
Much success to you!
Kind regards,
Nichola
It's good it turned out well. I have friends who are in a similar situation, with a daughter into drugs and the kids given to a foster home. It was their aunt and uncle, which was good. The mother has finally turned herself around and is doing well. Hopefully, you will have a similar experience.
It seems that this state of families is becoming more and more the norm. I don't mind for my part, but some of those kids aren't so lucky, they end up with strangers who don't care that much about them. But there are also a lot of good foster families, so....
I'm just glad we got custody of her.
Best wishes,
