Wake up!

Many of us made new year resolution.

Whether it is concerning your business, wellness, self-improvveness/development or other important aspects.

And, that included December 31st, 2019.

I had made resolution and one of them was to go to gym more often and eat more healthy food.

Unfortunately, I did not expect that the corona pandemic affected our day to day life (I could not imagine that tuesday, december 31st, 2019)

I started to develop a habit – pulling the handbrake. Everything should wait or shifting my priority – which is more wait and see type…. (and I have built list of excuse auto pilot in my brain... :-) )

Even when the gym started to open their facilities again, I have an excuse for each particular moment... :-)

And finally, in a quite evening, I can hear the clock sound – tick… tack… tick… tack… and it make me realize that we only have around 4 months to the end of 2020…

I have drifted from my goals. It is time re-line to my goals for 2020.

Wake-up…!

I remember when I was a kid, my parent always told me to find a fixed object whenever we played at the beach, something that you had to checked frequently so you knew whether you drifted away by current or not. So, I checked time to time whether I was still in line with my point of references (it could be coconut tree, flag, guard tower, etc), and I adjusted (re-line) to my point of references before I continued to play again…

I do not know about you…

Have you checked lately whether you are still in line with your point of references - Your goals?

If not, maybe it is time to check and re-line to your 2020 resolutions or your goals

How?

Write it down your goals and ask your best friend / spouse / coached to remind you time to time, and by having your goal written down, you can use it as your point of references, read it everyday before you start your daily routine, so you do not drifting away from your goal…

Have a great weekend…

Very good idea!
But the importance of the new resolutions is to help us adopt a new course of action. It doesn't have to be going to the gym every day and eating healthy foods morning, noon and night, I think that can be difficult and frustrating. It is also a way of helping us to change towards the positive little by little. So yes you are right to get back in line with your goals, but don't be too hard on yourself, life is already hard enough with us in recent months.

Ingrid

By all mean Ingrid, you can have any goals you want... 👍
Thank you for your comment

All the best

I do the same as Aparna. I have a list every day and I record them on an Excel spreadsheet. However insignificant. It helps me to focus and ensure I actually do what needs to be done. I enjoyed your post. PS - you can walk instead of going to the gym ! 20 minutes of fast walking, it helps the brain too!

Have a great day.

Trevor

Thanks Trevor, I will start to walk..., maybe it is a lot of easier...

I have never made a resolution in my life lol. Just go with the flow and you will end up at the same place anyway, as if you want to do it you will do it regardless.

You are the first person that I have ever met that never made a resolution, and you are right, if you want to do it, you will do it any way..., but for a person like me, I need to be reminded why I do what I do..., otherwise I will find a lot of excuse to not do it... 😀, or do something else to avoid something that O do not like to do (even it is important)

Have a great weekend Geoffrey...

Hey thanks for sharing. It sounded an alarm for me too I'm afraid! Not everything is lost! There's still one fourth of the year ahead which is a good chunk for re-positioning ourselves towards our goals, take heart!

Indeed Maricat! Lets do this...! In 4 months, things still can be moved forward toward our goals... 👍

Way to go, Kiki! Time to kickstart in preparation for 2021!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff

You're very welcome, Kiki!
