How can I add another admin to my account?

If you mean another user on your WordPress site, go into your WordPress dashboard, select users, add user, and for the user type specify admin. Job done.

Hey!

A friend & I want to work on a site together & I'm told that I can add him as an admin on my site, however he isn't premium & I am. When he is working on my site that I built through my premium account, will he be able to add premium features like changing the theme to any of the 3,000 instead of just 12 or like adding images? Or will he not have access to those tools as a starter member? Thanks in advance!

Annie

Being a premium member of WA is different to being a WordPress Admin of a website.

If you add your friend as a WordPress Admin of your website, your friend will be emailed their user name and password, and the link to the WordPress Dashboard for your website if you select this option (think this may be the default) when creating the user in your WP dashboard.

Your friend will then have admin rights in your website including the right to see all of the current WordPress themes available at WordPress dot org (I think). WordPress dot com is the commercial end, and there is usually no need for us to do anything there apart from maybe create a Gravatar account (If you don't know what this is, it is covered in later WA training, that you have not reached yet - so forget about that for the moment).

Your friend will not have access to the WA features unless they become a member. That person would need to upgrade to premium to access the premium features of WA membership.

Your friend will not "see the website" in their list of websites in WA. The website is associated with your WA premium account. Only you will be able to request WA support to look at any associated issues (if any). Only you will be able to use the WA request feedback feature and the WA site comments feature.

I have seen some "joint" accounts at WA where it looks like the WA account is two people - which I assume is how other people have overcome these challenges. Maybe you should ask the WA membership for suggestions, advice, potential pitfalls, etc if you go down that route.
