Making Time For Success
It is difficult to find time to accomplish everything that I want or need to do daily. I work 50-60 hours a week and am usually tired when I get home. When I get home, I have to split my time between catching up with my wife, cleaning up any messes that are designated as my responsibility and my son.
I spend a lot of my free time playing with my 4-year old. He is my greatest life-achievment, so far. So, when I am not at my day job, I give him as much attention as I can. He likes to participate in my evening routine which includes working out and listening to music. I have encouraged him to listen to a range of music from the B-52s to Queen to Iron Maiden. He has his favorites and likes to sing and dance a bit. We will usually wrestle, watch a little TV or play action figures. I usually let him lead playtime because, well, its his time and I want him to enjoy it.
There are times when I have to disappoint him a little. I will have to decline playing in order to work on my website. It is important to me that I continue to develop my website and go through all the training that I can here at Wealthy Affiliate. The whole goal is to become successful enough that I can have more free time to spend with my family, not just the fleeting moments I get before bedtime. I try to convey this to my son. He understands to an extent. I explain it as if I was doing homework, like what he gets from pre-school. Fortunately, he is rather understanding when I have to work on my computer.
My wife is very supportive of what I am trying to achieve here at Wealthy Affiliate. We have a strong relationship and are very invested in creating a stable home environment for our son. She thinks that it is cool that I am attempting to take a passion of mine and create a website that promotes this passion and will eventually make money.
But, it all comes down to making time to do what needs to be done. We are all so busy that it is easy to lose the desire to keep going. It becomes easy to rationalize giving up. I think that this is a symptom of how the dream of success is painted as easy if you just try a little. We all see these athletes, entertainers, actors and entrepreneurs making wonderful lives for themselves, but we do not see the work that they put in to become successful. It is easy to say we deserve the same, but until the effort is made, we cannot get there.
I am determined to make this work. My website will become something that I can be proud of. I will expand and create more websites in the future. Right now, I am focussed on getting through all the training and making my website the best that it can be. When I am confident in this, I have ideas for other websites that I will implement. I am grateful for the opportunity that has been put in front of my by Wealthy Affiliate. I will succeed.

I also am a father to two children, a daughter and a son. I understand the challenge of finding time to work on a website and spending time with family.

You are right ... 24 hrs in a day is usually not enough :)

It's definitely challenging to juggle all we have to accomplish at the same time. Your son and wife will definitely become the BIG WHY you want to be persistent with what you want to accomplish with your website (business). With the determination you have shown, I am positive you can do it.
