WOW! My WA ranking improved significantly

This morning I was in WA community replying to reading articles and greeting new/old members, then I realized that my new WA ranking was 4790. You may say what's so special about that, but where my ranking came from really surprised me.

I've been told to not focus on WA ranking, rather concentrate my efforts on training and developing contents for your website. However, I was curious as to how WA ranking worked.

For those who are unfamiliar, WA ranking system consists of 3 categories, namely, Helper, Creator, and Activity. You received score on 3 categories based on your contribution to WA (I think) and total rank score is the some sort of average of the 3. The reason that I was curious of my score was because I had relatively low Helper and Creator ranks, but much higher Activity rank and that the overall average was closer to the Activity rank. Thus, in efforts to improve my rank, I looked for things that I can do to improve my Activity rank. Now success may mean different for different folks, but if lower ranking members in WA are enjoying what they are doing, then that is not a bad place to be.

I made effort to be very Active in the community and saw marginal improvements in my ranking, but there was still that gap between the 3 categories. Then, today BOOM it improved by about 60%.

I realized that my ranking made significant improvement on surpassing the one-month milestone.

This tells me something very important about WA. It honours and rewards FAITHFULNESS and COMMITMENT.

To be successful, one must be faithful and committed and I like the fact that WA rewards those who are faithful and committed.

I realize that, I could be totally off on my analysis. :-)
