As I approach my first month at Wealthy Affiliate, I reflect upon what I have managed to accomplish. This is not to boast, but I wanted to share with honesty so that it may help others understand the possibilities at Wealthy Affiliate.

Accomplishments
The abundance of knowledge that I was able to garner in my first month with WA has allowed me to make following accomplishments:
- Upgraded to Premium membership
- Completed my first website, which got indexed by Google (Up to the Age 12 Education)
- Five articles, also, got indexed by Google
- Completed level 3 of Online Entrepreneur Certification training
- Writing and sharing contents that are helpful for parents with young children
- My WA rank improved from more than 200K to below 20K
- Establishing network of people from all around the world (it is quite fascinating to learn about them and their backgrounds)
- My knowledge of online business has grown exponentially which is giving me confidence to venture onto others things which I have not thought of
- I was able to write my first review, namely review of Wealthy Affiliate
- Set up Amazon and other ad banners
And more were accomplished, all through the training, discussions, Q&A provided by becoming a Premium member of WA.
I had always wanted to develop my own website but was overwhelmed by the thought of learning a new programming language. But by following WA training diligently, I was able to overcome doubts about developing my own website.
Also, not only have I learned to develop a website, I am learning to market my website, so that I can earn passive income.
Niche
When I started developing my website, I was concerned with what I chose to be my niche market (early childhood education) that it may not be a mass marketable idea. But I wanted to stay with my passion because I wanted to continue to post articles for a long time to come.
I currently have 11 posts and have few more ideas that I want to write about in the near future. It is interesting that as I write these articles new ideas spawn out from it and furthermore, it is brought back ideas that I had from the past.
I have also started to write reviews about products and services that will help in early childhood education. My hope is that I continue to write articles and reviews that would provide guidance to parents in nurturing their children to live a purposeful life.

Building an online business does not require physical labour as the subtitle may suggest, however, one must put in the time and effort to learn and apply it into practice. And there are lot of materials to learn.
WA has the most comprehensive and yet quite easy to follow training modules. I would recommend taking this training slowly because it covers a lot. But if you take it slows and follow as it is instructed, then you will be successful. I was fortunate enough to be working in the Education industry, where I have the summer months off to focus on WA.
Regarding the time and effort required, think of it as if you were to start any business, you would put all the time and effort required to make it successful. Without such commitment, it is doomed to fail. Same with online business, without commitment, it will never get off the ground.
In addition, it important to set goals. I am following goals that Kyle has recommended which he shared in article called "The Exciting Journey Begins."
My goals

I would have achieved my first sale on Amazon, but they told me that me buying through my own website was not considered commission-able sale. Well, I tried. :-)
What I would like to achieve with WA is to continue developing my website to:
- Get first sales through my website and make it sustainable so that I can grow it
- Get my articles ranked in Google to increase traffic
- Write more enriched articles that will be helpful to parents concerned with their children's education
- Reduce the speed to which my article becomes ranked in Google
- Go through Affiliate Boot Camp training
- Enlarge my network of people within the community
- Promote WA to my network of people outside WA
Conclusion
Here is my quick assessment after one month at WA:
Pros:
- Most comprehensive training to build online business
- Support of caring community
- Many ways to get help whenever you need it (great article comparing different types of help at WA)
- Free to join and go through the training (but you, yourself, will want to upgrade to Premium)
- Network of people from all over the world
Cons:
- Training can be overwhelming, especially if you are working full time
It used to be that if you were an introvert, it was difficult to socialize. The advent of internet provided a way to overcome this problem. Although I sometimes prefer face to face conversations, online community allows for much larger audience not bounded by geographical limits.
Wealthy Affiliate is such a community. More than that WA is community with members who have similar goals. A large community comprised of similarly minded people can achieve miraculous results. I am ecstatic that I am part of this community.
