How do I remove other people who have created a user account in my user file. How did they get there? What can I do? Thank You Krista

There is a setting where you can turn off the ability for users to create an account on your site. Go to Settings ... General and make sure the box Anyone Can Create an Account is unticked!
To remove go to the USER menu and select those wish to remove (check box) and then click on Bulk Actions ... select delete ... you may need to do this for each page of users if there are a lot of them!

Thanks Allan--I did the last part--now I need to do the first part! Great information!

Hey, Jeff ... yes, turn this off ... it should come turned off in my opinion ... a holdover from the early days of WordPress when it was required that users be registered to gain access to content.
Allan
Allan, I'm wondering if that was why I was getting emails from Wordpress about new registered users who I had no idea about?
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
Yes, your site would be automatically sending email notifications if new users are registering ...
They use "spambots" to do this automatically .. I am not sure why, but they do. I fail to see how this benefits them in any way!
Just *((&#& annoying!
Allan
I agree, and the names that were used made no sense at all. I'm planning on going into all my sites and turn that off!!

On the left hand side on my website posts is an area for an author picture, and catagories, but it just says uncategarized. Should I change this? Also there is no picture on my
you can edit the title but you cannot remove it and you should be looking to add other categories to your site for easier navigation.
have fun

You cannot actually remove it. However, as long as there is nothing assigned to that category then it wont appear. SEO plugins such as Rank Math allow you to select an option where if the category is empty then that category is automatically no-indexed.
I am sure you can probably do this in yoast as well, although I do not know if this is possible in all in one seo because I dont use it.

On my dashboard there is the ranking and network 3s, what do they mean? So far my post article is not showing up on the internet. It has been 24hours since I posted It. Also
Which Dashboard do you mean.
The one within Wealthy Affiliate or the one on your Wordpress?
You really must try and be very specific when asking questions.
You know what you mean but the membership doesn't.
If you have entered your website address and your post is not showing up go into WordPress and make sure you're post is there. If it is , push the blue update button. Enter your website and check again. If it's still not showing up you will need to contact site support. Jim

You have a ranking which is composed of ‘Helper’, ‘Creativity’ and ‘Activity’ components. This ranking changes as you get involved with the portal here. The more you do, the better your overall rank (the lower the number the better).
Posts refers to the number of posts you’ve made to your Wealthy Affiliate blog here.
The number next to the Network label indicates how many Followers you have in the Wealthy Affiliate community.
Hope this helps,
Dave
