An Immortal Jellyfish

I follow Kris Kashtanova, on Twitter. This past week, she posed an interesting question to ChatGPT, the AI developed by OpenAI: "What is the most interesting fact you know?"
The AI's response was absolutely fascinating. It cited the unique abilities of a species of jellyfish known as the "Immortal Jellyfish" or scientifically, the Turritopsis dohrnii. This jellyfish has the uncanny ability to revert back to its juvenile state after reaching maturity - a phenomenon termed 'transdifferentiation'. Through this process, its cells transform into different types of cells, effectively rebooting its lifecycle. This makes the jellyfish biologically immortal, despite remaining susceptible to diseases or predation.
What's even more intriguing is the potential implications this has for human science. Researchers studying ageing and regenerative medicine are particularly captivated by the jellyfish's ability to reverse its ageing process.

Hey Julia. Wow, that is a fantastic fact! It would be a life-changing phenomenon if they could use this fish to make anti-aging products. I would definitely want a peace of that pie to be an AM or even sell my own product.

I wasn't aware of this. My first thought (rooted in ignorance) is if it is because they are mostly water compared to many other life forms. I know babies have a higher water consistency than adults and during this phase they go through the most changes humans will go through.
If so, it would likely mean we would have to somehow change our composition to be more water than solid.
