The Magic of Pen and Paper
At the beginning of a new year I always find myself wanting to get clear on what actions I can take that will help take my business and life to the next level.
Something so incredibly simple has shown up for me that I had to share it!
I'm talking about a very simple little old school beautiful looking notebook.
I am pretty much a total geek and I absolutely love Apple products. If you're an Apple user you can probably relate to how great their applications work together to do everything from scheduling, to creating and to document brilliant ideas.
This new notebook caught my eye and I simply had to have it. When I purchased it I didn't have a clear intention of what it's purpose would be, it just seemed like a great idea.
I've since started using the notebook as a pretty informal way to list out what I want to accomplish for the day with my online business.
To say it's made a difference would be an understatement at least.
I'm getting more done using the notebook as my guide and to do listconsistently and I'm enjoying the creative process more.
It's ironic that all the fancy devices haven't been as helpful as my little journal and it's interesting how satisfying it is to pick up an actual pen and check items off the to do list!
So at least for me it seems there's a certain magic in actually putting words to paper instead of entering everything on a device. I'm getting more done and having more fun!
How about you... has anyone had a better experience with productivity using a pen and paper instead of digital notes?

I agree with you. It works better for me too. Something more concrete about the process.
I use a lovely fountain pen and even that seems better than a pen. My writing is easier to read back:)
I actually had a big notepad and a pen with me when I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago as I jotted down what I planned on doing with my websites this year and it has been such a big help.
It's nice to have a plan of action, something that you can physically see and stick to and for reminders of what needs to be done.
I am a total believer in the power of the pen. Guides my life.
