Find a way, not an excuse
I know we are all meant to be resting and enjoying a little free time today, so I will keep this brief!
Do you find a way to sort out your problems, or find an excuse not to?
Did your old boss ever say to you 'don't show me the problem, show me the solution'? A statement like that would have forced you to think about things in a different way, a way that would help you to move forward instead of being stuck.
Find the answers to your problems, never give up and take responsibility. Don't blame others if you're not getting where you want to be, instead, take a look at yourself.
Go find the solution!

One of these was very popular with me when I was a manager or chair of an Organisation. "Do not tell me the problem unless you have a solution". It usually reduced the amount of problems people came with. Most people want you to take ownership of every problem. If you do you will never come out of the weeds.

Definitely! My favorite words to my students everyday. Kids (at least in our school) nowadays want to be spoon-fed with all the answers to anything and would not want to do anything anymore. If they could they will find every reason not to do any work in class anymore. Heck no! Thanks for sharing, Jude. I bet you're one of those parents who trains their children well to make them successful!
Thanks so much for the kind comments. I do believe in teaching children to find a way lol, mine are now 19 and 24 but they still have my 'training' ringing in their ears! :)
Oh yes...those trainings are so important no matter how old they already are. They remain our children forever and they will always need us. I'm sure you are leaving a legacy for your children that will be embedded in their hearts and will definitely pass on to their children. What they learn can never be taken away from them.
