Dude it's Friday!
Are you working at the 9-5 office grind? Are you glad it's Friday so that you can forget about work for the weekend? Do you feel like this every week?
Or this?...
Or do you have to work over the weekend and you feel something like this?...
Wouldn't you like to have that 'Friday feeling' every day of every week? That's what you can have when you choose to be your own boss by working from home.
Now don't misunderstand me here...I'm NOT saying it's going to be easy because it's not! At the beginning it will involve putting in many more hours than you currently do. But there's good reason for that.
The harder you work now, the greater the rewards will be in the long-term. You need commitment, drive, ambition and clear focus. And no-one said that would come easily.
There's so many distractions and other things you think about doing when the truth is, you should be sat at your laptop, planning your next post, working out how and where, to promote it and looking at Affiliate programs which would be a good match with your niche.
For sure, you might find that you now have to put in 12 hour days - or longer- and you may think 'why on earth am I doing this?' when your office day may well have been shorter. But, think about it...
This is for your benefit. You're not going to be lining someone else's pockets - you're working for your future and not for your boss to be able to have an exotic vacation.
Put the hours in now and you will enjoy the fruits of your labor in the future.
Happy Friday my lovelies and ciao for now :)

Hi Jude,
Delay of gratification is one of the hardest things to learn, but a tool that will add mountains of wealth over time, and I do not mean just cash wealth...
In this age of instant everything, too many people have forgotten what sacrifice means and entails..Taking the long view is hard sometimes, I understand...
That's why I am closing my laptop right now and going to have a cold one - FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! (JOKING!!!}
Regards,
Dave
PS: have a nice weekend, take some time off (wink wink)!
Well as they would say in England, I'm sure the 'sun is over the yardarm' in some part of the world, so feel free to enjoy your cold one!
It's true that some people want it, and they want it nowwwww!! (Petulant child springs to mind!) But most of us are in for the long haul. Enjoy your weekend Dave :)
That is a crackerJude, best wishes for your Friday, just about Saturday here another 15 minutes I just can't get my head around the different time zones I am sure that when I do I will make a fortune, probably selling multi-time zone clocks on eBay lol
Jude - EVERY word is true, and I have found that Saturday and Sunday are both work days. It depends as you have said before on how we define "work." I have reached the point where I may eliminate this word from my vocabulary and will tell people " I have to live today".........might be interesting just to see the reaction. Since arriving at WA, work no longer has the same meaning it used to have.
Now it is a matter of technique, refinement, course correction and minimizing distractions, which is a much more dangerous word to me than work. Now my mantra is Focus, Focus, Focus.
Without being rude my plan when I am "focusing" is to tell people (with a smile and love in my heart)..... "Push, Pull, Or get the f@$% out of my way!
Of course, once again, saying this with love in my heart and a smile on my face.
Thanks for the sound advice and post-Jude!
Steve
I love that 'push pull' sentence Steve. Have a marvellous time, whatever you're doing this weekend :)
Thanks, Jude - Hoping to finish Bootcamp in the next two days. With outside temps at 107 F..........I think Ty and I are going to minimize the "yard work" this weekend!
Stay well dear friend!
Steve
I look forward to Friday now because I can work more on WA! Not so much time during the week, Jude. :)
That's true for a lot of people Rick. I hope you have time to get done whatever you're planning :)
Jude, you are wonderful to remind us often☺☺☺☺
From your blogs alone, I would already have enough inner self-esteem.....
Thank you so, so much!

I now love Fridays! I just mess around a bit on Fridays. I like to spend the morning networking and making sure everything for the week is finished up. Then I pick up my kids from play school at midday and we go buy chips and sweets in preparation for our traditional Friday family movie night.
The afternoon is spent playing with my kids.
I will never go back to the 9 - 5 life style again. This feels right, it feels good and I get to be with my kids!
Sounds just perfect Lynne. I'm so pleased it's working out for you :)
Thanks Jude, it is perfect :)
