Step Back…To Go Forward!
I found myself having to step away from WA for a short while but am making my return.Long/short…I was forced to allow my Premium account (on the monthly plan) to lapse; however, that allowed me to finally go yearly while taking advantage of the tremendous Black Friday special.
Some may recall that I wrote a blog touting the benefits of going yearly and may have gotten the impression that I had already done so. The blog was titled, “Is it Really About the Money? No Longer an Obstacle!” In the blog, I discuss several creative ways to raise enough money fairly quickly to pay for the yearly membership; thus, allowing one to concentrate on building the business without worrying about the monthly payment.
At one point, in answer to a comment, I made the following statement:
“Took my own advice
and managed to raise enough to "go yearly." In addition, I just
upgraded to the Jaaxy Pro account (took advantage of Kyle's and Carson's latest
offer); then realized that my "go yearly" savings is enough to
completely pay for Jaaxy. So, in a sense, by going yearly, I am essentially
getting Jaaxy Pro for free!”
What I had actually done was to save up enough to pay the yearly fee but then screwed up the works by putting the entire amount on a gift card. I wrote and published the blog one day before I was to make good on the transaction. However, the gift card would not process for the WA payment because there was no official “Name” and “Address” associated with the card. Unable to return the card, I contacted the issuer, VISA, and found out that I could ask for a refund. Problem solved—right? Not so fast! The refund would take about eight (8) weeks or so. I could not afford to wait that long, and I could not afford to be charged for two more (monthly) payments in addition to the yearly fee. Thanks to Kyle, I was given the heads-up on the upcoming Black Friday special and decided to take advantage of it; however, that meant waiting.
Sometimes, we can make progress by taking a step backwards. I know I have. By doing it this way, I don’t have to be concerned about payments (except for Jaaxy) for one entire year. Yes, I took a step back, but doing so will allow me to go forward.

I totally get this.Also sometimes when we think that things are at there bleakest and the only direction is down something out of the blue happens to raise us and our baby steps to success up again.I'm still waiting for this to happen for myself.
It will happen. A lot depends on how we perceive things. I believe that having the proper mindset is one of the most important factors that leads to success. One thing is certain. WA certainly supplies each of us with adequate tools and other resources to get it done. The rest is up to us.

Hi Joshua. Nice to see you. I laughed when I read your post because I have just finished reviewing someones website for them and it was exactly the advice I gave them. You're absolutely right - sometimes you do have to step backwards before moving forwards.

Hey BIS. Thanks for the comment. I guess the important thing is to ensure that the "step back" is only temporary. Most of us have to do it at some point in our lives for one thing or another. There's no shame in having to do so. Just don't quit! That's what's important.
Oh yeah--Black Friday was a blessing. Now I am locked in at the lower rate. Sweet!

I am so jealous that you have Jaaxy! Lol. I had to let my Jaaxy membership go so I could keep the Wealthy Affiliate membership-but in the near future I hope to have it back.

That it was! Kyle made it possible by giving me a heads-up on the (then) upcoming Black Friday promotion. That enabled me to take advantage of something that saved me some money at the time but that will continue to save me money from now on.
I'd say that was pretty "smart" on my part. :-)
