write access has be revoked by admin

Here is what happened to me here over the past few days...

On 3 October 2020, I submitted my first blog post. It was a post about a incorporating the action into your life of saying positive affirmations twice a day. After I posted it, I received a few comments and likes.

Then yesterday for some reason I could only like comments and was no longer able to reply to them.

When I attempted to write something, a red alert popped up and stated:

“write access had be revoked by admin.”

I could not write, or reply.

I could not post.

I was not able to use private message to inquire to Kyle or Carson what had happened.

My only way to get a message to WA was to log out and send a contact us message on the home page.

I finally received a reply from the WA team, and this is what they said:

The reason you were cut off is because you may have been reported for a promo/spam within the system. I have turned it back on for you now.

Please review our rules about posting at WA here:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wealthy-affiliate-the-open-education-project/spam-is-a-no-no

Thank you for respecting our guidelines and I appreciate you reaching out to me. We take spam/erroneous conduct very seriously within WA as we want to make it a safe place for everyone to operate a business.

If you have any questions at all about this please don't hesitate to send me a PM inside. :)

After reading that link I was not able to conclude what in the world I could have done that someone would flag me for spamming

It was most distressing to have my writing privileges suspended for no apparent reason.

Clearly a WA member reported my blog post.

The strangest part about this is I was not informed of the issue prior to admin revoking my privileges. The only way I found out what had happened, was as I previously stated, to log out and send a message to team on the home page.

I would like to know if this has happened to anyone else.

Regards,

Joseph

It does happen from time to time, Joseph! The main thing that I noticed was that you had the same message appearing everywhere in most posts I was a part of, and some got their feathers ruffled by, it though, I answered you and also read your post. I also read where another member warned you too. It is something we cannot do here--in the rules, in fact. No matter, you are back now and you have learned something! If you ever have a question about something, I will do my best to help you, though I am, by far, not the most learned Ambassador here.

I am glad that you are back, and I hope this helps you in some small way!

Jeff

Hi - the post itself is fine, but is it correct that you were adding the link to it to other people's profiles and blog posts? If so, you shouldn't be doing that, that can be seen as spamming the community.

A write ban is usually only triggered if at least 10 members have reported you. The exception to this is when your actions have been reported directly to Kyle and he has imposed the ban.

Thanks for sharing. I don't think most of us that are new are aware of these spamming post guidelines. I was definitely careful of not putting in any affiliate links, or spammy content but some of these guidelines can fall in grey areas and we are left with no directions as to what to do. I think if you post something that you think might be spammy either ask or don't do it at all . Better to err on the caution side.

If - and it's a big 'if' - it was the ambassador that reported you; I feel it's a little harsh of the ambassador to point out the 'spamming' issue (in their eyes) and then report it without allowing you any form of redress.

I completely agree that spam is a no no - both in here and out there but sometimes errors happen especially when new to a system.

Ah well, you're back now, put it down to experience and move on.

Dom, I am uncertain if it was but I made mention of the fact that he spoke directly to Joseph about it in his comments.

I am expecting that he will explain, if it is so.
Cassi

I'm sure an explanation will come Cassandra

Yes, it will.

There is a spam warning in the comments of the post you are referring to. it explains what the issue is. because you are new you did not realize you cannot ask others to look and comment on your website, on others profiles and in their comments. if you want comments on your website or on the blogs you put on it, you need to go here for them. hope this helps.
