Wealthy Affiliate WILL NOT make you rich.
You read that title correctly.
Here's why.
How many of you have tried to use clickbank (r) or JVzoo(r) or Commission Junction(r) affiliate programs?
or.. You've signed up for mega affiliate programs with their smooth talk and rented Lamborghini's and skydiving videos ...
or..You have read thousands of get rich quick emails, splash pages, and websites and got enticed by the idea of quick wealth pouring into your paypal or bank account.
You get your affiliate links and instructions and they provide you with swipes of emails and you think, ohh this is going to be sweet...and simple! I post these links to the internet and i'm making the bucks, no problem.
But there is a problem. You may be driving traffic to the link, but the traffic isn't buying.
Not even once. What's wrong??? Why isn't my paypal account full of thousands a day? This must be a crap product, i will try another... then you try another, and another, and another... with the same result.
Disillusioned... you go hunting for knowledge to make it work. You buy into others who want to teach you how to make that killing. But the only ones making that killing are the ones selling the education.
Then.. it happens, you stumbled into Wealthy Affiliate. OMG. So much learning. This is the real deal. and I can just promote WA and it's already setup with everything I need, boom I'm going to be dining and gambling in Vegas with the top dogs of WA next year!
But... You push the links provided and the same thing happens.
Do I stink? Do I have bad breath? What is wrong? Why does God want me to fail at this?
Here's exactly why WA WILL NOT make you rich...
Cookie Cutters don't make you rich.
You are just one of hundreds of thousands promoting the same thing in an already saturated market.
Well then, it's useless to try.... Why am I spending money on being a Premium member if i'm just going to fail?
Because you aren't here to be a cookie cutter. You're here to be an original entrepreneur with the cookie cutter teaching of WA as a base, a foundation to build upon.
That's why so much is discussed on Niche.
Forget that stupid word a minute and think about what you like to do. What are your hobbies? What do you do with your kids thats fun and unique? What foods do you like that your friends don't? What makes you unique and an individual? Because what makes us unique is what ties us to a bunch of others just like us in the world. 7 billion people on the planet, half of them have internet and you feel alone with your facebook and an idea and have no idea how to reach out to 3.5 billion people...
You don't reach out to them, they are going to reach out to YOU.
Because when your site is up and running, and it's sharing your passion, your interests, your love of things that you want to offer to those people .. search engines are going to rank your site and index it for the vast content you have collected. You might use some Bing Ads or Google Ads or Facebook ads once things get rolling...
And then, people start knocking at your webpage door.
They take an interest in what you have to say because they relate to you.
They didnt know someone else out there had the same passion as they did...
You connect, and share, and sell what you love because it helps others....
And then, you realize that WA didn't make you rich.
WA was just a foundation. A jumping off point. A place to learn, and get focused. Then it's worth the premium price and you find yourself one day in the near future happy and content, living the laptop lifestyle on a beach somewhere, or in the mountains of Colorado or anywhere in the world. Because of what YOU did, not WA.
You made it. Not by being like everyone else, but by being yourself.

I have 2 niche sites now and contemplating promoting wa in a few months but I know it's going to be seriously competitive
Don't cookie cutter it and find a way to use the WA links in a unique way. Blogs dont get read when there's a HUGE OCEAN of them saying the same basic things. Avoid the 'WA Review' idea all together. Over-done.
You couldn't have said it any clearer. Its the same principle that applies to any other job "no one's going to pay you to sit on their job all day". You have to put in the labour yourself to get paid.
Absolutely Joseph, put in the work and get paid for yourself instead of for someone else. Can't expect a payday when we are doing what 100,000 or more are doing already. Gotta be creative.
great point! people think they will make money simply by joining WA, then learn the hard way. They wrongfully accuse WA of being a scam because they do not make money when joining.
Exactly. Nobody is going to do the work for you, you have to have the desire and the want to succeed that drives you to do the lessons to do the course work to do the steps and do it every day without seeing any benefit for a little while. Then the magic starts to happen.
Great point! I think a lot of people expect to become millionaires overnight, which is illusive. This is all about strategizing and learning from your mistakes every day. If you can't do that, then this is not for you.
So right, the only way to make it overnight is to win the lottery. But we all know what the odds are for that.

Very well written and I read the whole thing, well done! I absolutely agree with u, that without the work, the "action", all the knowledge in the world will not help u. If u have and idea and don't take action then that is all it is, an idea. This is a great post for newbies and people who have been trying to break into the affiliate marketing world.
