3,500 words blog post : long enough?

My personal blog is mostly about affiliate marketing and crypto currencies but I thought I would share my experience with my new (temporary) job : postman.

Exposing clichés

I can't speak for the rest of the world but in France, postmen are perceived as lazy people who are doing an easy job.

While that may have been true in the past, it isn't anymore today. As a young man, energetic and driving (way) faster than the others, I was astonished to come back an hour later every day at the post office, while the others some of them way older than me, came back mostly on time.

Sure, I am a newbie and I make rookie mistakes, and I lose some time here on there on my circuit. But still.

Now, after 10 days, I come back on time. But not on Monday. In fact, nobody come back on time on Monday because that's the day when the mail load is the largest.

Writing, writing, writing...

Back on the subject, I just wrote about 10 days on my experience as a postman. And I just saw the counter was nearly 3,500 words!!

That's the longest piece of content I've ever written on my blog(s).

Now, I read here and there that Google was prioritizing the longest posts (although there's also quality checks and other stuff taken into account), so I wonder if this post, even though it doesn't really talk about my niche, is going to generate some traffic.

I guess I just have to wait and see.
