Are We All Juggling?

I really think we are. In my case, I'm an artist so I need to make art. I'm also a music guy - so I need to practice and play gigs. I'm also the Dishmeister and am in charge of many small KP tasks around the house. I'm also the cat juggler (kidding) and have to make sure they get their treats and 4pm can feeding. (On a movie that I worked on at Universal, they actually had a cockroach wrangler).

I'm also on the computer a lot, trying to learn IM from WA and maintaining my blogs, online websites and keeping up a bit with FaceBook. I'm also in charge of paying the bills, online banking and such. The computer part could be a separate juggling thing all by itself. Almost forgot, family and social life. I know that I've left something out and I'm getting dizzy thinking about all of it. After all, I'm supposed to be retired. Ha Ha!

So I think that this really describes all of us! We are all professional jugglers. Sometimes we drop the balls and we just pick them up again and continue. Ok, so let's all run off and join the Circus! :)

Agreed, I have always regarded all of us as jugglers, and it seems to have become more of a requirement over the past decade as the pace of life itself has quickened,

I'd feel better if I were as multi-tasking as my wife is....:)

Now back to work!!!...haha

Get to work!!!! :)

WOW!...somebody who truly understands...thanks for the post

I totally understand.....how could I not. Thanks for reading this....:)

sounds familiar :(

Hi Jespinola: Thanks for reading the post. :)

;)

Can defintiely relate.
I have just recently started using a journal when I wake up and just before bed.
As soon as I wake up I write my number 1 "big goal" that I will be focusing most of my smaller goals toward for that day.
Then I write out 3-5 of those small goals to do that day. i also write one thing I am thankful for.
I pretty much repeat this process just before I go to sleep at night - focusing on tomorrow.

I have found this gives me alot more clarity and direction each day. Its also good to see some progress when you look back on previous days.
Give it a try - i guarantee you will get some great results and will stop you feeling so overwhelmed all the time :)

Sound advice Nick1. Thanks for reading the post.

Which circus are we going to join? Thanx for the post.

Clyde Beaty (sp)? Thanks for reading it. :)

You have absolutely hit the nail on the head... I see you posted a picture of my life... Love it! Thanks for the post... it's always reassuring to know we are not the only one's living like this... Julie

We should form a juggler's union....:)

Sounds familiar to me.

Deja Vu all over again....:)

Sounds overwhelming when you put it that way. However as a list of "To Do's" leading to an unmentioned goal it sounds doable. So I'm thinking it isn't the tasks, it's the goal that's murky.

That's kind of how I work - I have these mini-goals and go after them....:)

I feel you. And standing on one leg, too.

My stepson is a juggler and he used to do the flaming pins and butcher knives while standing on a bongo-board.
