Unexpected Disaster, Pancreas Cancer
While I am working hard on my online business, I received a heart breaking news that my mother, 57 years old have contracted cancer, the horrible Pancreas Cancer.I have been away from my family for the past 8 months due to some issues and living overseas.I have brought some distress to my family for the past few years for some stupid mistakes that I have made.
While I am determined to change my life and start afresh, this tragedy struck my family. My dad is actually retired but has gone back to work to help me with my mistakes.I had a great family and life was considered comfortable but now it is a 360 degree change due to some of my mistakes.
Life can be so unpredictable at times, while I am working hard now to hopefully provide for my parents, this incident made me realize that you do not always have all the time in the world to care for your loved ones.
I am now still unable to go back to my country due to funds issues and some other factors.I thought of writing this blog to let people know and start caring for your loved ones before its too late.I only knew how to treasure my loved ones after a series of mistakes and sometimes, time cant wait for you.

Jon. This is a very difficult time for you. I am so sorry and pray that your circumstances improve some how.
Not sure if this helps but some airlines offer a bereavement fare, which is a reduced fare if you have a seriously ailing family member. Here's the link to with instructions on what to do to see if an airline where you live offers this. http://www.ehow.com/about_5042366_airlines-offer-bereavement-fares_.html. Not sure if this will help but it's worth a try.
You've learned a lot at a young age and hopefully you'll be able to change things to reunite with your family before your Mom is so seriously ill. The best to you.
thank u for all the kind words, I do have a loving family which makes me even more guilty that i cant be with her now.I do make it a point now to give her a call everyday and figuring what how can i go back to visit her.I hope my prayers will be heard and given a chance to do my part for my family.
Thanks again
Even though you have made mistakes, it sounds like your family loves you very much. You can only move forward and put the past in the past. Don't let it bring you down. Today is a new day. I agree with what Carla said, you may not be able to be there physically but you can be there for emotional support. The best thing you can do for your mom is to let her know that you are okay and happy. As a mother there is nothing I wish more than that for my children. My heart goes out to you and your mother. Sending you my prayers.
sorry to hear of your mums illness prayers and thoughts are with you all for the return of her health, and I wish you every success for your new journey in life
Jon, maybe you can't go back to your country, but you CAN pick up the phone, send letters, etc. Make sure your mom knows how you feel. As a mom of four, I know I would be comforted by any contact coming from a long-distance kid.

Sorry to hear this about your Mum, who's not that old yet. Take one day at a time, spend as much precious time with your family. Whatever it is you're doing for them, big or small, they'll understand that you're doing your best. Take care.
