Google+ is Finally Going Offline!

Last Update: February 01, 2019

Hi all,

hope you are well?

For a few months now we have been told that Google+ was going to close. This is a shame, as we all know the benefits for rankings of posting your content onto Google+.

Well, the date has been confirmed...

Yes, as of April 2nd our Google+ account is going away. I would still post your content to it for now, as any benefit to your rankings is a good thing.

Just a short blogpost, but wanted to let you know it is coming and is confirmed.

Thanks

John

Thanks John for shearing.
Do you have ANY idea for such a sudden development?
I have a feeling THOUGH that whatever their reason is, that move will finally be for our good!

It just never got off the ground really, Jay seems to think it may move over to the discussions thread on YouTube.

We will have to wait and see

Thanks for sharing this. I stopped posting to G+ for a while now but I am still getting followers. Sorry to see it go. I wonder if something else will be in its place soon. All the best.

Yep. It was not really relevant anymore. Since the most important use of social media is to just get prospects to your website. Because anything you build up on social media is controlled by them and they could take it down and you could lose everything you built at anytime.

I saw their message today, I had not used it before. So it is a content ranker?

yes, as it was owned by Google it was a great place to tell google that you had a website and to post your content as another way of telling Google.

unfortunately it wont be much help going forward.
