Guest Blogger success!
I'm very excited to say I've got my first blog entry from a guest blogger! He was thoughtful enough to include several photos and wrote exactly the sort of content I was hoping for. I'll be publishing it tonight, but he's an authority in my Niche and is sure to bring all sorts of traffic to my site. I've got more on the way as well, so I see only good things coming!

Shannon, I sent him an email. It was a bold approach but seems to be working well. I have other guest bloggers in the wings.
I sure am! His tweet about the blog post went out to over 600 people, that's twelve times the reach I have with a Tweet. Today I believe I saw some good traffic on the site, and also got some play on my YouTube channel. I won't know for sure until tomorrow until the Analytics catches up, but I think today was a great day for me!
Great! How did you attrack this blogger? I am searching for guestbloggers for my photosite. Greetings Loes
Loes, I knew of his YouTube channel and his website. I simply sent him an email to see if he would be interested in contributing! I sent three such emails, and all have said they wanted to blog, but this is the first content I've received.

As you posted this a while ago I am sure you have some experience now. At least that is what I am hoping for. I have a guest post ready for my site but I am not sure how to publish it. I do not want to add an account for that person to my site, but I want to make sure he gets credit as the author. I looked into adding users onto my site e.g. as a contributor or author, but I want to be in control when and how things get published. So basically I don't want them to be able to publish whenever they want to. Would appreciate some advice or recommendations based on how you handled your guest blogger. Thanks in advance.
Good question! I've had several guest bloggers since this post. What I do is have them work up a post in an email and send it to me. That way I can review it and control formatting. I can also add in affiliate links and ads if I wish. I simply cut and paste it into a new post and 'introduce' the guest blogger.
Thanks John, I have implemented the same concept of having them email me their post. I even added a guest blogging policy to my site to help potential bloggers figure out the best way to get their content on my site and outline the formatting and guidelines I will apply. I just didn't want wordpress to say the author is me when it isn't, but introducing the guest blogger is a good way to work around this. Thanks again :)
