We're Not In The 80's Anymore Right?
Who remembers waking up before anyone else in the house, racing downstairs to grab a bowl of your favorite cereal and tripping over anything and everything to get to the TV as quick as you could?
Your heart begins to pound with excitement as you wait for the game to load, only to notice it freeze or flash from a cartridge error.
What did you do next?
You ripped that game out of the console so fast, blew as hard as you could into it and slammed it back in right?
All for a tiny little error or glitch that could be corrected easily in seconds right?
Fast forward to today where the newest gaming consoles can take hours to copy a game disc, download updates, etc. Just to be able to play.
What's the reason for all of this you ask?
It goes without saying that as the times have changed significantly, the patience you achieved as a child has now become a daily part of our lives.
We've all "Patiently" achieved longer wait times, especially when it comes to SUCCESS and feeling like that excited young child yet again when we achieve it!
Happy Sunday Everyone, You All Got This!!
Cheers,
John T

I certainly remember the mid to late 80's John when it would take a good 30 minutes for a cassette to load on the old commodore 64!!
Then I got a SNES and it was like instant gratification!!
I actually bought another one a couple of years back (much to wife's horror) just to relive the classic games from my youth!!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday my friend! :-)
I can remember in the 80's working on DEC and IBM mainframes. Some of the systems had 12 inch floppy disc drives that stored a massive 1 kb of data. that's not a typo - 1 kb, and very slow. These were half million pound systems.
Don't get me started on PDP 11's. I bet some of the folk here will remember them.
Well, one lonely kb was quite a lot back in those days I imagine Bux!
I'm not familiar with PDP 11's though, probably a bit advanced for me as a wee lad!! :-)
