Takes money to make money!

Ever hear that expression?

  • No such thing as a free lunch?
  • Money doesn't grow on trees?
  • If you're so smart why ain't you rich?
  • A penny saved is a penny earned?
  • Time is money?
  • I'm sure you've heard all those statements and questions.

To build an internet business, it takes both time and money.

  • You're only fooling yourself if you think otherwise.
  • It will cost something (monthly or annual savings) here at WA.
  • You are possibly going to have to invest in a plug-in, or some other software.
  • Yes, you can operate as a free starter, but that is not going to go real far.
  • Time is a precious commodity that we all have the same amount of.
  • You are going to have to do the lessons... just no way around it.
  • Blogs, Posts, writing, yes... writing... you are either going to have to do it or pay to have it done.

So, before you get too far down the path, stop, count the cost (time and money) and make sure this is what you want to do.

I have seen far too many shooting stars who seemed to think this was a social club and that their friends would magically build their websites and write their posts.

Ain't gonna happen!

Get out the yellow pad... how long can you keep spending money and time before you start making money on the internet? There is no magic formula... no super idea that is going to jump out and make you rich.

Lots of help here. Some great people here who care and will push you, but you have to get off your duff and make it happen.

Just do it.

Great information. I totally agree with you it does take time, money and an investment of sorts. Depends on how motivated and successful we want to be and yes we gotta be prepared to put the effort into it. You are so right. Good things to think about when starting any business.

Pinkie

Thanks Pinkie.

You are so right, Joe. I was one of those starry eyed newbies who thought that I would be rolling in dough in no time. I blame it on those scam artists who some of us unfortunately have to meet before finding WA. I've only been here 90 days and I realized after a couple of weeks that it was not going to be easy. But I am in for the long haul, because I believe in myself and the training that WA teaches me, along with help and support from everyone here.

Have a blessed week
Charlotte

Amen Charlotte, But it takes more than 60 days to figure that out and they know it.

True.

The cost of WA can be paid, but not more. I am looking for free plugging and I try to compensate with a lot of work. And I'm patient. I am 11 months old in WA. But I'm not sure I will succeed. Anyway, I learned a lot. It's also about the confidence you have in WA. Many give up because of scams and previous experiences. I say we must continue. Thank you.

Hey, Joe. You know, my duff is one of the the things that I worry about - sitting with my laptop or at my desk top. I have thought about standing up, but I think that would get old pretty quick.

Oh, I know what you are saying. Just messing with you. I am in this to win it! Thank you for all your wonderful encouragement. Keep up the good work.

Understand. Great reply.
Joe

I'm now following you. Have a great day!
Kento

Thanks

So true...You do have to invest in your business and that includes money but perhaps more importantly, the time and effort are key factors, along with a consistency of effort over a longer time period...

Instant profits and instant cash are just not reality. Better to develop a good plan, work that plan, make adjustments as indicated, and keep at it until you are making money...

This should be an easy thing to do, and on paper, it seems to be easy also, but in reality, people get in their own way often. That brings in the last element that is crucial...Mindset.

You have to be aware that within yourself, doubt will creep in, impatience and frustrations will rear their heads, and perhaps you will hear the same from those around you.

When that happens, it is helpful to remind yourself of the reason you started with your adventure in the first place, and get back to it! Put those monsters in their place, which is not in your headspace...

Thanks for the reminder!

Cheers!
