Can elephants fly?

Short answer...yes...Dumbo can!

Long answer - aerodynamically, no. Body weight to wing (ear) ratio is too much!

Now, this brings me to the purpose of this blog. Dumbo doesn't know that! Dumbo thinks he can fly, so he does. I posted a few months ago about a bumble bee flying. I was corrected because I didn't make my aerodynamics clear that bumbles fly because of their wing design.

That is true, as I did not go into the wing design of the bumble bee. Trust me... I have spent 60 years as a pilot and I do know some aerodynamics...attested by the countless passengers who I got safely back to mother earth.

What has that got to do with WA?

Everything. Why did you join WA? Did you spend your money to prove you couldn't do it? Did you make a bet that you could show everyone how wrong Kyle, Carson and Jaye and the myriad of techies we have at WA are?

Unless I don't know much about human nature, I think you joined because you DID believe you could fly, at least in your mind.

So you started the lessons...you began to build the website/s... you wrote your first post for your website and a blog for WA.

Are you going to crash and burn now because your wings aren't big enough? A thousand times NO! You're going to keep on believing in yourself, the lessons, help and encouragement you get here and by golly, you're going to fly!

You're going to ignore the naysayers, the "little people", who try to discourage you and like Dumbo, you're going to flap your wings (ears in Dumbo's case) and you're going to fly.

Everyone of us has plenty of family, friends, even members of WA who will tell you that you'll never make it. Who you? You think you can make money on the internet? Dreamer!

You darned tooting I'm a dreamer and I'm a doer. This elephant (no insult) is going to fly...get out of my way.
