Wealthy Affiliate-My Honest Thoughts
Last Update: Mar 22, 2018
"Wealthy Affiliate--My Honest Thoughts" is a title that I imagine gives the thought of "Uh oh--what is he going to say?" to some of you. But I doubt that Kyle or Carson are concerned, because I'm sure they have confidence in this wonderful world that they have created.
"Oh hear we go with another sugar-coated story" is probably what some are thinking, but they are wrong. I put the word "Honest" in the title, and that's what you will get.
7 plus months ago, I was looking for a way to help my neighbor earn extra income from home--board dogs/cats, train horses, grow flowers...something, anything. I don't even remember how I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate (do you remember how you did?). I do remember and am thankful that I joined through Chris Lee, and he still checks up on me--much appreciated.
I thought it looked intriguing, but was skeptical, as usual, of all things "internet" and "free". So, I jumped in, a Starter Member, "For Free", and I charged ahead, starting the Certification Course, building a FREE website on siterubix.com. But then, my "Aha!!!" moment came...
I finished all ten Lessons of Course 1...and with my little experience in Affiliate Marketing and website building, I hit a brick wall. I was stopped dead in my tracks. I said "Honest", and here goes...I was really pi...well, lets say somewhat less than pleased.
I honestly thought "Here's the catch to make me go Premium!!!", and I was not going to get caught!!! However, the more I thought about what I had accomplished in less than a week, the more I wanted to continue.
I finally convinced myself that one month wasn't going to break my budget, and since there was no time commitment, I could always bail out after that month was over..so, Premium I went.
Well, here I sit, 7 months later, joined with a million or so of my closest friends in WA, with no intention of leaving WA. Okay, so I don't really have all million plus in my Friends Network, but you are out there and I know that I can reach you through Live Chat if I need you.
The community support here in Wealthy Affiliate is off the charts. Through Live Chat, questions in blogs, or Private Messaging, I know I can get the help I need, and it is much appreciated, and I am, once in a while, actually able to answer a question or two. I am not even going to try to name names here, for fear that I might leave out even one of the "so many".
I have 3 websites running, 2 on my own domains that I purchased through WA and 1 hosted on SiteRubix. More honesty--they're not making $$ yet--I have more work to do, and look forward to doing it.
So, for all of you that were looking forward to a scathing expose and bashing WA, well, I 'm happy to disappoint you. Wealthy Affiliate is, to quote Kyle, "the real deal". There you have them--My Honest Thoughts.
Best wishes to all
Joe

Your first little part of how you got here free and knew you could leave in a month was my story as well. No I am in for a bare minimum of a year but I plan to be here longer.
Hi, Joe,
I remember the day I found Wealthy Affiliate. I was checking out a scam And a pop up came up on my screen and it said
"SAY NO TO ALL THE BULLSH..T"
By that time, I had got to the point of all the scams and BULLSH..T that was just thrown out on the Internet.
I joined that day and I was like a kid in a sweet shop. I upgraded the next day. I was so scared it was going to be taken away from me lol.
I have since paid yearly I have no intentions of leaving. I love every minute of it.
I have made some really fab friends too and I am pleased to say you are one of them.
My Kindest Regards as always ~Debs ;-)
