What an ' Annus Horribilis' year.
As the Queen of England said in 1992.
What an 'Annus Horribilis' year it's been.
Well the same can be said for 2020.
I wonder if the Queen realized back than that an even worse year was coming in the future.
2020
The year of.
Fires
Floods
Covid 19
Earth Quakes
Volcano's
As well as all the personal issues
lost loved ones
illness.. Both Physical and Mental.
I've personally experienced some bad times over the last few years, but this year it seems.non ending.
After personal cancer scares I have now had and operation to remove a cancerous lump on my ear, only to have the surgeon's say they think they have located another one
Now my good friend Donnie is leaving WA due to health issues.
And to make the week even worse our little mate 'Pretty', the pet cockatiel died yesterday after being attacked by a Hawk.
The Hawk flew just over my head to get at Pretty who was in her Aviary behind me. It only took a split-second. She was cut above the eye
Being a friendly little bird, she had no idea what hit her and the shock, rather than the wound, killed her.
BUT
I know this all sounds negative, however the real reason for me to write this blog is.
A. To get it off my Chest and
B. To let you all know that I refuse to Give up.
WA is a fantastic blogging platform.
The training is fantastic.
The friendship is incredible
The opportunities are limitless.
I have had an online website before joining WA and I can tell you that the cost of building and hosting it was higher than here at WA..
For less money , I can have heaps of websites hosted,.
Have access to a never ending stream of training.
PLUS.
Make many friends and help others.
No matter what, stay positive my friends .
You can do this.
Work hard, focus, do the training, ask questions, build fantastic websites, and you will succeed.
There is nothing stopping you from becoming Successful at Wealthy Affiliate.

Jim, so sorry to hear about your bird, Pretty. It is painful when our pets die.
This year truly has been one for the record books. Here in Minnesota we have been having record heat up into the 90s which we typically don't see until a little later in the summer.
I am thinking about you and hope that your cancer scares get taken care of.

I am so sorry you lost Pretty. That is sad.
I am also sorry you have another lump to deal with. Hopefully it will be a simple removal.
I agree about 2020. It has been bad for us too (like everyone).
My husband and I both had COVID and he ended up with Type 1 Diabetes, pluerisy and double kidney infections so bad he had to be in the hospital and they put a drain in his back to drain the infected area around the kidney. Because of coronavirus I could not visit him in the hospital. My husband is only 37 years old! He now has to take insulin every day for the rest of his life. My Dad had Type 1 so I know all about it.
My Mom was diagnosed with lymphoma this year though she insists she is just fine since it is a treatable and slow moving form. It is terrifying to me however.
On top of all that the US Federal Trade Commission threatened me that I had to take down my website posts about coronavirus and Amazon shut down my affiliate account. That means I don't make any commissions for either of my websites now...even the pet site! It just never ends this year.
Like you I am NOT GIVING UP though!
I am glad I have WA no matter what and I have missed talking to my friends here.

Thank you Jessica. I'm so sorry to hear what you guys are going through. My little granddaughter has diabetes 1, she's my inspiration to keep going. Sometimes all we have left is our will power.

I am thrilled with the weather at least this year. Last summer it was blazing hot and we had fires. This summer is more normal, no fires nearby and nice sunny days with rain now and then.
At least something's have gone back to normal. Hopefully the rest of summer will fantastic for you.
I went through some pretty rough periods of time when I was younger, so I know how easy things can go south. I like to go with Murphys Law. If something can go wrong, it will. Cushions me from getting too upset when the time comes since it always does.

2020 has been a year that no one expected ... very true. I have found many good things during this time, but it is also not easy at times. What I find, though, is that in this big mess that 2020 is I have come across several lucky breaks.
Hang in there, well, you already do. I love your positivity, and we have to stay positive. It is what keeps us going.
