So Close and Yet So Far!
So Close and Yet So Far!
I am nearing the end of Level 4 training and have learned so much. I realize that the website I have created so far for this program still needs a lot of work, especially in the area of editing content for readability. The very helpful members of this community have pointed us newbies to a couple sites that provide help in making our posts more readable and we are very grateful for this.
I never knew there was so much to learn about affiliate marketing.
- We had to learn to start writing stories again.
- We learned how to use WordPress.
- We learned how to use Jaaxy.
- We learned about SEO. Although there is so much to know about this subject that we will all be taking courses on learning as much as we can about this tool.
- We learned how to optimize our content in order to drive traffic to our websites.
- We learned how to use Google Console. There is also so much to know about this tool that it will be another thing we will have to look into after our training is complete.
- We learned about social media platforms and how to link our content to the followers on those sites.
There were many things that I was not sure about but I am going to work towards finishing level 5 before I go back to review by going over all my notes. Maybe I will be able to answer my own questions after having gone through to the end.
If I have any other question, I am sure that all the helpful people in this community will be able to answer them, as they have in the past.
I look forward to joining all the graduated members and start concentrating on perfecting my website. I also look forward to finally having the time to help answer questions for newcomers to this program.

You are doing well. Something I've found helpful, and will finish when I have time -- I am going back over the training, because I find little things I missed.
Thanks for the encouragement Fran. Following you has been a real inspiration for me. Good luck in the Challenge!

I think you hit the nail on the head here. There is so much to learn outside the framework of the basic WA training course. Every lesson throws up a bunch of additional learning challenges for me but I am finally getting a real handle on how to locate the best and most appropriate training on the platform. That includes understanding who are the best people to approach for specific kinds of knowledge as well. I see people every day who seem to be zooming through the training and although I put in about 5 hours a day I can never progress that quickly. I can't help but feel that they can't possibly be absorbing all the additional support and tools that are available here and elsewhere. I'm just going to keep going at my pace and make sure that everything I do here is done to the best advantage.
You are doing great Ally. I am sure that I would not be as far as I am if I had all the additional pressures that you have. You have a child and a full-time job to support your family. Nobody could expect you to progress as quickly as someone who is single and doing THIS full-time. Also, this is a side gig for you. A lot of people are looking at this to be their main source of income so they are uber motivated to get to the end and start earning from it. I will admit that I have only done all the course material so far. I have not ventured beyond that but vow to do so after I graduate. You are seeking knowledge beyond what has been asked of you. That is probably a more comprehensive way to learn and have a clearer understand of this.
You have been a source of encouragement and support for me and all the people you have touched. Keep doing what you are doing and you will end up with the most amazing website and be such a huge fountain of knowledge for everyone in this community.
Those are very kind words thank you. Truth is however I jacked my job - I hated it and I want to do this full time so I am really flying by the seat of my pants now with no income. I will return to employment at some point soon, once I have my sites in a semi-functional state and a routine established. That is why I feel under so much pressure and why I get frustrated when, for example, I am wrestling to get my theme to work only to discover that the fault lies with errors in the theme not my handling of it. I will get there, it's just hard and scary as I have no money coming in and not much savings left.
