Christmas Shopping
My wife and I went shopping this afternoon (together). It was the fires time I have been to the shopping mall since before the covid shutdown. I was very happy to see so many people, my goodness the crown was large and it is great to see that capitalism is still alive and well (despite some politicians trying to kill it)! And not one person out of the hundreds I saw was wearing a mask, I'm sure someone must have had on a mask, (but, I didn't see them).
After about an hour, I realized there were some differences from the last time I visited a mall. One, early in our mall visit, I saw several armed police and security guards and some of them looked like they were ready for business! Another observation was I didn't see as many older folks, (senior citizens) as before, now that was just my observation at this one mall, so it might not mean anything! We also noticed that not one person out of the hundreds we saw was wearing a mask. However, the biggest thing I noticed today was the lack of inventory, it seemed every time we saw something we wanted, it was out of stock or they didn't have the size we needed, or the color we wanted.... but they could order it.........they told us "they could ship" it from somewhere and we could pick it up here at the store before Christmas!
We could have purchased anything we wanted "on-line" without going to the store. It reminds me when I was very young and every Christmas we would grab the Sears Roebuck Catalog and mark the things we wanted or cut the pictures out and paste them on our "Letter to Santa".
Well the purpose of this writing is to say, its Christmas and many people are out shopping in the stores, moving about, with a big smile on every face and a bounce in their step and it's a good feeling, after the past 3 years we have all been locked down in our houses or in some cases were not "allowed" to leave the home at all because of government mandates. That's all over now and for one, Its good to see happy people moving around trying to find that special gift for friends and families just like the years gone by. Merry Christmas !

In the past 3 years, I have been trained to shop online for everything from peanut butter and ketchup to the special weight of watercolor paper I like.
Last Saturday found me in a couple of stores, and while I enjoyed the tactile part of the shopping, I had to come home and order what I went for as well. Not sure I will be going back soon.
We as online affiliates will need to keep making the shopping experience going well for our clients.

You know Sami, I didn't think of that, you are so right, on line is our mission and we need to make it a good experience for everyone we can! I found it interesting that you had to some home and order "what you went for". And, I bet it was less expensive on line! But, the one thing you nor I mentioned.....its exhausting to go to the shopping center, very exhausting!

I feel using the alphabet soup is a good idea since you already know what you want. Moreover, you have access to alphabet soup x.
