As long as you're following the training in the order it is in, as you go along your site gets better and better. I suggest staying focused on the training and providing relative content in posts for your sports niche, I assume.
The site only has a logo. You picked a theme I am not aware of either. As Phil mentioned it shows the 404 error code. You have a ways to go, my friend. Trust in the training here as well as themes available in WordPress for now. If it is in there, I couldn't find it.
You have some great suggestions here and honest opinions. Abie, Brenda, and Phil have provided some helpful guidance for you.

In the beginning it is better to add content addressing issues in relation, then once your site starts gaining traction and traffic you may then worry about beautifying or customizing your website.
