Should I use Google Adsense or not?

Should I use Adsense or should I avoid it? A lot of people are not sure whether or not they are better off using affiliate links or using Adsense when it comes to monetizing. A lot of affiliate marketers will tell you you are better off using affiliate links. While affiliate links may pay better, in certain situations, you might be better off using Adsense. So what is the correct answer?

The truth is, you never know until you try both out. Even the online certification course would recommend you do tests to see which one works best. I have tried both and have made some money on both Adsense and affiliate links. If anything, one thing to keep in mind is the type of niche your in as well.

One thing to note about Adsense is that you don’t even need to have you ads clicked in order to make money. Adsense pays you for both clicks and the amount of views an ad gets. Affiliate links on the other hand only pays you once someone has clicked your link and taken an action.

However, affiliate links will pay you better in the long run especially if you are generating a decent amount of traffic every month.

So don’t be afraid to try it out and see if one works better than the other.

In your experience how much traffic would you need to get in order to make a decent amount of money with Adsense? (over $400 a month)

Good afternoon Vivi,

You will need truckloads of visitors.
The best thing you can do is ask Google this question, you will be surprised.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

I think we can use both.

Why not do both?

I see some sites with AdSense where the ads come in the post sometimes 2 or 3 times. To me, that is distracting to the point that I often don't read the rest of the post.

That's totally up to you Jesse. If you think you will have thousands of visitors to your website then it's probably a good idea. Just remember not to make your site to messy with ads. There's nothing worse for a visitor then to go to a site that is cluttered with advertising and pop ups. The average consumer will leave very quickly. Jim

Hi Jessie,
Adsense can turn out to be pretty good especially if you have a lot of traffic.
I was on the fence about it and wanted to remove Adsense from my site because it affected my site speed making it slower.
I stuck with it and am glad that I did. I am making money from it, not a lot but it’s something.
I would suggest you try it and see how it goes. You can always remove it if it’s not working for you.
