Enjoying The Benefits of An Ambassador's Help

How do you know if you have received the benefit of an Ambassador?

As I stated in a recent post I have had a year of downright bad luck (as some would say). You could say I have had to pay my dues. Others would say that I needed to learn humility and discipline. All are right in their thinking. The photo above is of my 3-year old granddaughter. She is very energetic and compassionate. I call her my little ambassador. Her name is Abigail and my best cheerleader.

Abigail

You may want to know how a 3-year old can be an ambassador. It is really quite simple. She gives of herself everyday. After my heart surgery, Abigail brought me a special pillow I was supposed to use whenever I coughed or had to sneeze. If she saw me without it she would search for it until she found it. If someone else was using it then she would forcefully take it from them.

I later developed an inflammation of the heart sack. This is not uncommon for heart surgery patients. Abigail was there to make sure to certain that I was well taken care of. She made sure I had water to drink and that I got up and walked a bit every hour. She would not take no for an answer and kept me motivated to work on it until I did what I was supposed to do.

After I recovered from this, I contracted a disease that causes paralysis of the entire body. I was in the hospital for a week. When I was discharged from the hospital, I had to use a walker. She made sure my walker was always in arms reach and available for use. Most 3 year olds would have seen the walker as another toy not Abigail. She would walk beside me to be sure I did not need any help. If I got tired she would find a place for me to rest. She was and is still by my side. I have been doing some physical therapy at home and she is right there with me to help me along. If I fail to get to my therapy, she brings my weights to me and makes certain that I pick up the weights and begin my therapy.

Ambassadors at Wealthy Affiliate

I have talked to several of the ambassadors here at WA and they are awesome. They go out of their way to welcome newcomers. If someone has a problem understanding some of the material in the certification classes they are normally the first to respond to the questions asked. They go out of their way to help, most of the time without any thought of receiving any reward. They truly pay it forward for the benefit of the individual and the community at large. They are amazing in so many ways. Perhaps one day I will be in that group but first I have to live up to the pay it forward mentality. I have a lot of obstacles to overcome ( mainly my own selfishness).

I am learning humility from a 3-year old who only knows how to share of herself to make others feel better about themselves and about others.

Great little assistant you have there. When I suffered my first major surgery 9 years ago on my shoulder my main ambassador was my wife, yet I also had the best encourager in my two dogs we had at the time. they seldom left my side in the first few weeks when I was not doing very well. They even changed were they slept which was beside the couch not their normal places.
Very nice your 3 yr old granddaughter is close enough to assist and has the heart to serve her grandpa.
Continue to get better Jerry. We miss you here.

Love this Jerry. Those three year Olds are certainly amazing little people. My little great granddaughter was diagnosed with diabetes 1 at three years of age. She's a little trouper and very tough when dealing with her illness. Her, her parents and little brother lived with us for a year while her parents sorted out the financial costs of having a child with diabetes.
The amazing thing is that I , in the meantime , was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. One io the medicines I had to take was a drug and powerful calcium powder. Every morning our little one would make sure that I had my 'white stuff' before she had her morning needle. Jim

It is great that Abagail is there for you.

You are a lucky man.

I would agree our Ambassadors are great here in WA.

You have been blessed with Abigail. She is adorable! So glad you are doing better.

Thanks a lot, Jerry, for a great story as a lesson to our souls.

That's so amazing and helpful of Abigail. For sure, she learned those good traits from you adults who are taking care of her.

Just like the Ambassadors here at WA who, under Kyle and Carson have been practicing what they learned from our two energetic leaders. All of us, as well.

Hope you are getting better.

Hugs to Abigail. She's such an angel!
