Our Spare Time is Important.We Want to Find a Balance

How are you? It is Friday, February 24, 2023.

Keep in mind that this doesn't necessarily apply to many of the members of Wealthy Affiliate because I think there are plenty of motivated people here.

I can tell that from reading the chat and the comments on posts.

Still, this is on my mind at the moment and I am thinking about my own spare time and how I use it. So, I am talking to myself here more than anybody.

I still do work alot of 12 hour shifts and I toggle between two states. My spare time is used driving, sleeping, and catching some things up at home when I do get home.

I fit family time into that as well. I have a 19 year old son, and I have to make an appointment to see him usually (lol), since his girlfriend is his highest priority at the moment.

I fit the gym in a few days per week trying to stay in reasonable shape (I'm 57) and there are other things that eat up my time as well that have to be done.

Life happens doesn't it.

So, I also do make time to sit down and work on the Wealthy Affiliate training and add content to my website. I also try to make contributions here when I can.

All of this brings me to the main point, since I know all of you have similar lives to mine. We all juggle life and family and still try to enjoy some relaxation time.

Our spare time is the most valuable time we have. We only get each minute of each day one time. That minute doesn't come back around again to apply a different option to it.

That doesn't mean that we should feel anxiety or stress over each minute, either. That would be a horrible way to live, constantly worrying throughout the day.

Still, if we use our spare time to make our lives better, staying focused for awhile each day on our website, for example, then that website will hopefully start generating income.

Our spare time will become more plentiful as we have to work less and we swing the time pendulum in our favor.

I could write forever on how I spent my time in earlier years, which was not always wasted, but many times it was.

Our spare time is where we build our freedom, however long it takes to do it and regardless of the adjustments we have to make along the way.

Yes, 15 minutes a day, if that is all you have, can be put into training at Wealthy Affiliate and that consistent effort will pay off over time.

Check the boxes for each piece of training, write a draft and take two or three days to finish if necessary, but finish and publish it.


Once it is published it's evergreen. It's online. You will learn to get better at making sure your content is found online, with your affiliate links at the bottom.

I hope that maybe this helps somebody. Don't fall into the mental trap of "I don't have time". Please don't do that. You do have time. Just use it wisely.

Myself included. As I say, this post is for me more than it is for any of you who read this. I can use my spare time more wisely too.
