My First Month at Wealthy Affiliate How'd I do?

I am less than 24 hours from finishing my first month here at Wealthy Affiliate (WA). Sometime tonight, I will be re-billed at the full rate, no more first month discount :-( . I know, I can "Go Yearly & Save." There is a big red button that never fails to remind me, day after day. It may sound strange, but the monthly bill is a monthly reminder to keep working, to keep learning, and that it's not worth quitting. I fear that changing to annual would remove that motivation. It's a quirk, I guess. That being said, I intend to switch to yearly at some point. I'm just not ready yet.
Reflecting on a Busy Month
Anyway, so here I am, taking a few moments to reflect on the past 30 days and look ahead to the next 30. I have definitely extracted an invaluable amount of education, progress, and new friends in the past month. The $19 and coming $49 are nothing but a drop in the ocean in relation to what I've learned and accomplished. And what I have learned and accomplished is nothing but a drop in the ocean of what remains to be learned and accomplished.
With each day comes more training, researching, and writing. My to-do list gets a few new things added daily. I'm now busier than ever, but not burnt out. I have taken a few days off, even though it was very tempting to do anything related to my new website. It's literally always on my mind! Don't be afraid to take a day off, by the way. I found it very easy to get back into work the next time. I found myself more creative and motivated than ever.

So what are the hard numbers, you ask?
- I have created one website on my own domain for my niche (back pain) as well as registered two other domain names in preparation for Affiliate Bootcamp and to promote WA.
- I've written 14 articles (about one every other day) and had two written by others. One, a doctor, and another from Fiverr.
- I've invested about 360 hours so far. Whether it be reading, writing, tinkering with the website, watching videos, etc.
- I was denied by Google Adsense, but found media.net which is a Bing/Yahoo company for setting up ads. So far, I've earned $0.99!!
- I set up multiple other affiliate accounts including, Amazon, Share-A-Sale, Clickbank, and multiple other niche specific products. The only money has come from ads so far.
- I've set up four social media accounts/pages with my brand name. Likes and follows are trickling in.
- I've learned, via Google Analytics, that while Pinterest brings the most traffic, it is the lowest quality traffic (in terms of bounces, time on site, and revenue), while Facebook is the highest quality traffic. This could be targeting and being a rookie with Pinterest, so I've not given up. I have a lot more experience with Facebook marketing. Twitter and Instagram haven't gotten much, if any traffic.
- I've stayed engaged here at WA as much as possible while focusing on my site. So my rank has gone from somewhere in the 300,000's to 2442 today.
- I have made several hundred connections here. Some I have begun collaborating with on guest blogging, adding their relevant links to my articles, and more.
- I'm a little more than halfway through Level 4 of the Online Entrepreneur Training. And I hope to be finished with Level 4 tonight or tomorrow.
- Money spent:
- $19.00 - WA First Month Membership
- $13.99 - Registered my domain.
- $29.00 - Premium theme.
- $34.00 - Article written for my blog.
- Total - $95.99
- Revenue - $0.99
- Profit/Loss - ($95.00)
- 2076 pageviews according to Google. The lion's share of that has come from social media, less than a handful from search, and a good bit from here at WA thanks to members visiting to leave comments and feedback. The goal is organic search, but I understand that takes time.
That's a lot, and I may have missed something! But my brain just can't think of anymore to add here. Does this make sense?
Now What?
Today, I will write another article for my blog about the brain pain connection then finish up Level 4 training. Tomorrow, I will start the last level of Online Entrepreneur Certification. Withing the next 10-14 days, I will begin the Affiliate Bootcamp and work on my WA Affiliate site. At the end of the next 30 days, I will have 14 more articles written (seven on each site) as well as social media traction and whatever tasks are recommended in the training modules.
I'm sure that the next month will be busier than ever, but I don't see it as daunting. In fact, I look forward to it!
I hope that this has helped and inspired you in some way. I know that it's a bit long, but it was important to me to get this all written down. Sort of like an online journal. Anway, please give me some love and encouragement below. I can always use it!
Until next time...Jerimy
