Feedback Please :-) plus a couple of questions.

Just started using some affiliate links on a couple of my posts.
I'd just like some opinions on how they look. I'm hoping they're noticeable without being "in your face"
There is also a text link at the end of each post that leads to an "a-store" which I have put together and is still an affiliate link.

There are also WA affiliate links at the bottom of each post, one of my own design for siterubix and another that makes use of the banners provided from WA.
Honest feedback is welcome, constructive criticism, advice on how to improve is all very welcome.
I have two more posts that are half finished and not ready to publish yet and I've just added a bio on my band.
I need to change my homepage now as I have a more complex site.
I've got a task running on skillpages asking if anyone would like to share their story about their experience in music, if anyone reading this now would like to do that I'd love hear from you. Links to relevant websites/social media pages would obviously be used when I post each story. I won't be using any money making links on these pages.
I'm also wondering how long I have to wait to know if my posts are ranking well in Google? Obviously I realise this is a brand new site and may take a while. I've actually just gone back over a couple of trainings on keywords to make sure I've done it right. Just need to know what's a realistic time frame?
Changing the subject drastically, I've just noticed that I've been here 9 days and my rank is already 424! I did wonder if I was spending too much time on this, I now have my answer.
I think I'll give myself a day off tomorrow....

Your blog topics are spot on. They should help you get more page views and your affiliate links are good.
I like your website and I like your banners. I also liked your instructions for setting up a facebook account.
There are a few typos on the page. One very early on where there are (2 are s ). Only one is necessary. Check everything you write for typos. Typos are a turn off to some people.
As far as your question, I like the end with the WA banner.
I don't think the two one right under the other works. I would separate them. Also, if you are recommending the books on your website, then say so. Mention each in the text and refer your reader to them.
Otherwise I love it!
jenniUK, l love it. your websites are cool. even though i do not know much about websites and am learning on the job, yours is coming on well. regarding spening too much time here, well, that is actuall the whole point, i guese. if do not work your businesss, no one is going to work it for you so keep doing what you are doing. taking a sabbatical is healthy but do not loose focus.
the tips you have given to managing one's own stge fright is useful. just to add a little: remember each time you get on the stage, you are the best and the only one who knows what you are singing or want to say. what my be percieved as mistae my be your style girl.
also do remember untill you gain confidence, gaze in the air, not at a particular face for, the audience will never know. every one of them will think you are looking at them and you will think or actually know that they are looking at you and every one is happy at the end. God bless you. marcy
I have checked your site out and have to agree with Rick with the ads perhaps a few book reviews would be good
Hi. The text links are fine as far as I'm concerned. They were easy to spot on didn't prevent me from reading. I found with your "stagefright" post that the combination of Amazon ads and images on your post somewhat distracting. I wasn't sure where to look and began ignoring the images thinking they were more Amazon ads. Could you do book reviews and then link to Amazon on that book? As someone who was involved with theater I would want a book review to decide if that book would be useful.
Otherwise, you are doing awesome work and your sites are looking great. Good job!
Hi OSherrie. Do you mind elaborating please :-) if you mean the content, creating a facebook page is a great way of creating a following for musicians so it is relevant. Or do you mean the look of the two pages?
Hi Jennie, I like your site it's fresh, but you have done the same mistake as me, that is putting ads in the text area, apparently Google doesn't like it, they have to go in the side bar.I've still got to sort mine out.
*Sigh* rubbish! I'll leave the text link in I think, can't imagine that's frowned upon. Okey dokes, glad I only did two posts lol

Hi Jenni! Site looks good! Not overpowering with affiliate links. One thing I did with my Amazon links was to choose just the image. That way the visitor has to click in and learn more about the periodical and then know the price. Sometimes when the price shows, they don't go any further. Just my thoughts of what I've learned.
I see, I'll remember that. I've taken most of them off now, decided I had too many but that's a great idea thank you, I'll definitely use it when I use the amazon ads again :-)
