Two On The Aisle, Three In A Van - My Next Play.
Gosh. I've been so busy for the past few weeks. I'm directing another play for my community theatre, and its been full of challenges. As you can see above, it's called "Two On The Aisle, Three In A Van" and is set in the parking lot of a community theatre during summer season.
I've been away from WA and my websites for all these weeks because in addition to direcing I also had to find and make costumes and props. Actors dropped out and had to be replaced, and to date we've only managed 3 rehearsals with the whole cast present.
The play opens next Wednesday and we only have 3 more rehearsals until then. Oh well, as the saying goes "It'll be alright on the night".
Anyway, I just wanted you to know why I've been absolutely absent and not contributing at WA.
I'll be in and out intermittently for the next two weeks, then back fully after that and working on my websites.

My mother was a professional seamstress who used to make hundreds of costumes a month for local playhouses. She also made wedding gowns. This was all back in the 1930s and '40s.

Thanks so much, Frank. I can turn my hand to most things in the theatre world, but things like this take so much time and keep me awake at night!

The more I look, the more I like to belong to this WA community. Although I cannot claim to have been a veteran theatre goer, I can say that I have seen enough to make me feel that theatre offers much more than cinema (a very classic description of movies). The best movies are those which borrow from theatre: "All Is Good." Cheers,
Thank you Samuel. Theatre has always been the love of my life, although I do enjoy the movies, too. Rick and I go regularly to see the latest films.
